Former Cincinnati Mighty Ducks radio play-by-play announcer and Reds public address announcer John Walton has been named the new radio play-by-play announcer for the Washington Capitals.
Walton, who had been the radio voice of the Hershey Bears for the past 10 seasons, becomes the third radio play-by-play announcer in Capitals' history.
