I watched Game 6 last night. Did anyone else? There were some very nervous moments throughout. Orlando's goaltender, Gibson, was clearly an upgrade from the first four games. He really kept the Cyclone at bay with great saves. Also, much like game 5, the Cyclone allowed the Solar Bear to move the puck freely in space. It would be nice to see the Cyclone play the body a bit more and make the opponent work a little harder to set up their offensive system.
Following Megan's ultimate GWG, the game was frenetic. The Solar Bear came hard and fast, using their speed and puck movement. It was feeling eerily similar to the way Game 5 ended.
Hats off to Rob Madore for a fantastic game. He made some very difficult and clutch saves. He probably deserved first star status.
Looking forward to round 2. I hope they can make some adjustments and improve their record versus the Komet. |
