In a span of 10 days, the Blue Jackets ended a seven-game winning streak by St. Louis, put an end to the Los Angeles Kings' club-record 8-0-0 start at home, and snapped a five-game home winning streak by the Anaheim Ducks.

Goaltender Steve Mason was terrific for the Blue Jackets in their 4-3 win last night in Anaheim, stopping 47 shots.

Former Cincinnati Mighty Duck Mike Commodore had his first goal of the season for Columbus, now 11-6-0 and just four points behind first-place Detroit in the Central Division.

Commodore has played well since returning to the lineup from injury.

Don't really care for the Leaf Blowers, uh, I mean Blue Jackets.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

I for one am very happy for Ohio's NHL team. Scott Arniel has turned the team around. And along with Commodore and Pahlsson from the Ducks, Bob Boughner of the IHL Cyclones is one of Arniel's Assistants, he played the 94-95 season with the Cyclones playing in 81 games 16 pts and 192 PIM. Cincinnati is represented pretty good in Columbus along with Bill Davidge in the TV booth.

Boughner scratched and clawed his way to a solid career as a player in the NHL, playing in more than 600 games in just short of 10 full seasons after beginning his career in the ECHL in 1991-92 with Toledo. He was a "sandpaper" guy, the type of player teams win with.

With the Cyclones in 1994-95, he was paired with Sean McCann. They were both right-handed shots, with McCann playing the left side. Eakins was the team's best defenseman, but you always saw Boughner and McCann on the ice in the last minute of a period and game when the Cyclones were leading.
