What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| Seriously...repeating a championship is hard business, however I would be more than happy just beating the pi$$ out of Dayton as much a humanly possible! |

Dayton 14 times, eh? Sounds good to me. And here's why.
1) Unaffiliated team = very few real prospects. If any.
2) Low Budget (broke) Operation = No significant veterans will be signed.
3) Awful City = No one plays there if they have any other option.
Looks like an easy 9 or 10 wins to me. Maybe more. |

14 against Dayton,12 against Johnstown and Wheeling.Yes it is good for travel purposes but that many games just leads to boredom for the fans and ill feelings between players. Why can't the league give teams more games against the other Eastern teams. |

I actually like seeing similar opponents. I get to know who their players are and I like to watch the ill feelings develop.
The league was caught off gaurd when Pensacola quit the league. The original Cyclone schedule was pretty balanced with respect to Northern Division opponents. Between filling the Southern Division's gaping scheduling holes and finding dates compatible with each team's arena, the juggled schedule was bound to have some imbalances.
Just another one of the joys of the bush leagues! |

My complaint with the schedule is why wasn't all the East teams on the original schedule.I looked at Las Vegas and they play all 9 other teams in the west.Yes I know at the time we had 14 teams but the original schedule had us playing only 10 of the 13 other teams.I don't expect a home and home schedule each year, but one series in South Carolina here this year and one there next year would give everyone a chance to see each other.Look at last year, we saw first time teams in both the semi and final round.Las Vegas only saw us for the finals as "first time" opponents. |

I'd like to see us play more Southern Division games as well. The Western Conference schedule almost has to include all of the teams. Each team only has 4 other divisional opponents. If they had the same "in-division" scheduling mix as we do (63 out of 72 games), then they'd play each team within their division 16 times.
And that would be overkill.
I think part of the reason that Dayton will visit us 8 times (we're only there for 6) is that Dayton is so strapped financially that they requested the league to help them out with travel. They also play Wheeling (a 3 hour day bus trip for them) 14 times. I don't have a source to validate this notion. It's just seems to fit their poor financial status. |

| keep in mind that teams get to make requests with the league as far as scheduling goes. we asked to go south instead of out west this year and the league obliged. as hrc666 mentioned, dayton doesn't have a lot of money to throw around, so playing us a so many times makes sense for them. to stay on point here...teams get to make requests as far as scheduling goes. as a team, when it comes to seeing out of division opponents which would you rather request; a long bus ride north to play what could be the toughest division in the league or a flight west for some sun and warm weather in the middle of the winter to see some teams that could end up being a kelly cup opponent? my money is on go out west and see how you stack up, rather than a week in johnstown/wheeling. |
