Wanted to pass on that the CYCLONES staff will have a set up, promoting the upcoming season, at the 3rd Annual Jim Dandys' Cook Off that is being held in conjucture with Fords' Cornhole Tournament and Classic Car Show. The event will be held Sept. 12th and 13th at the Ford Tranmission Plant at 3000 East Sharon Road. There will also be live music as well as other promotions at this event.
The staff are planning on bringing the Kelly Cup to the event, as well as other winning cups. Also, for the amature division of the cook off a member of the coaching staff will be one of the celebrity judges.
As noted this is the third cook off and it is a sanctioned contest by the Kansas City BBQ Association. It has deffinitly outgrown the parking lot of the resturant and will be something to see (and taste). (For those of you that don't know........yes I work at Jim Dandys', and that is how I am privy to this information.)
Cool! That sounds like fun. I'll have to share this information with the hubby & bring my camera! Will the trophies be available all day or just in the evenings?
It was confirmed just this past Tuesday that our Coach Chuck Weber will be there as one of the celebrity judges and that the Cyclones staff will have a booth there with (as was told to me by our manager) "all the items they can bring". They do not have the pocket schedules ready yet for they are not ready (still being 'tweaked'?).
Come join the fun and wear your CYCLONES WINNING T-SHIRTS. This will be a great way of getting the word out that the new season is just around the corner!
