| Can someone update those of us that were unable to attend the preseason game with Dayton on the 10th. How did we look? Who was in goal? Any rough stuff go on? |

Typical preseason... lots of penalties no real sustained defense or offense for that matter. Everyone was new except BIB, Sean Perkins and Barett Ehgoetz. Latendresse, Beauregard and McDonald did not play but did sign autographs/ meet fans.
Kyle Gajewski (Nashville) was in goal and looked pretty good, especially on a (former Cyclone) Matt Rogers breakaway. From what I saw the goals he gave up were when he was hung out to dry by the defense.
Mitch Woods had a minor tussle (coincidental roughings) with Brett Connolly. He didn't push the issue as he was giving up at least 4" in height and at least 40 lbs.
Final score Dayton 3-2. Cyclones goals by Nicolas Robillard (PP) and Travis Hanson. |

| Its pre-season, ha. It happens. Hopefully the guys get in sync with each other before the season starts. All teams with a lot of new guys start this way of course. |

Wasn't able to go to the game today and echl.com has nothing to report, so anybody who went today, what was the score and how did they look.

| The Indianapolis Colts haven't won more than 2 pre-season games in the last 5 or 6 years. Nor have the Patriots done much better, but alas look where that got them. |

Not to be a downer here but- minor league hockey is NOT the NFL... any goalie that has that bad of a night- could lead to a LONG SEASON. :(
I don't mind losing- but to the BummerS... :( I'd rather lose to anyone other than them. |

| I just can't see Lacasse being more than our number 2 goalie. Pre-season or not, if he has any more game like yesterdays we'll be scouring the high school waiver wires. |

Lets get a grip here... its PRESEASON!! Guys are still fighting for jobs.... our affiliated players that are in town didn't even dress, not even mentioning the guys still up with the AHL. Dayton played everyone they are going to get and they beat us; big deal.
Our goalies are figuring out who their defensemen are and what they are going to do if/when they get the puck. Neither guy is going to be as good as the guys we had last year; at least not in the beginning.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this team most likely won't go 55-12-5. They are however predicted to be #5 in the ECHL by The Hockey News and should be exciting to watch.
For all you Dayton lurkers... maybe you could show us how to raise the Kelly Cup Banner, oh, yeah you didn't win. Additionally the Hockey News has you predicted dead nuts last. Enjoy your season! |

1.) Not entirely true. I saw VanCulin and Mustelli on the bench Saturday and some others.
2.) Congrats on last year. Now how many ****ing times are you going to keep saying that through out the year.

lol CAREFUL...........did not Hockey News predict our team as cellar dwellers not so long ago???
pre-season is just that.........PRE-SEASON!! There is a LOT to learn about ones' new team mates! Have to remember that new players means new lines and find who fits best with who. Our coach has his work cut out for him, and I (for one) have a lot of faith he will bring forth a TEAM that we fans will be proud of!

| Uh, yeah, their off season has been that bad. Part of the ownership quit, no affiliation could be secured, their best player demanded a trade and the biggest employer in the area is leaving. Things are real bad up there. |
