| This makes me physically sick as a hockey fan...saying the league dropped the ball is an understatement...that should have been a year long suspension w/o doubt! There is no room for that crap in this game! |

| personally i don't think 1 year is enough. when you think of what happened to zednik and milarchuk accidentally, it makes what kotsopoulus did even worse. he could have very easily ended the career of another player, for that reason i think the players union should suspend him indefinitely. |

a nine game suspension and probably a light fine for somebody who looked like he was wanting to go Mr. Miagi all over the face of a player... I am about to give you some examples of why that is bull****!
1. lets see... Chris Simon was suspended 30 games I believe for stomping someones leg...
2. ...and 25 more before that for trying to play baseball with some rookies head...
3. Marty McSorley doing the same thing to that black guy (no racisim there, I just forgot his name) pretty much got him blacklisted from pro hockey...
4. A guy got his ass banned for life by what was then known as the East Coast Hockey League for hitting some unfortunate Bummer fan in Dayton (http://www.cbc.ca/sports/story/2001/02/02/sugden010202.html)...
5. A guy grabbed a coach in the United League and got banned for life (http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/hockey-around-world/104458-banned-life.html)
Need I go on? this kid should have been barred for at least this year, if not for life for this... ECHL should feel disgraced right now...

Anyone else notice that it says the Bummers were ECHL CHAMPS? (the link under number 4)
The ECHL champion Dayton Bummers won the game 5-2.
* I don't remember that happening- EVER * Thought they lost to the GRRROWL and the STEELHEADS and both of those series losses happened after this article was written. Maybe I'm wrong *
Had the injury to the player been more serious- I could see a longer suspension. I personally still believe that 9 games was NOT enough. When I watch the tape, I still can't believe that he lifted his leg up at the other guys face- It's just an unwritten rule to keep your skates down. (even though there are written rules to prevent that too)
