Honestly get over yourself. Chuck is very experienced and if you think you can do a better job at the coaching call then lets see it. Apparently you haven't read Hammer's blog, because he brought out a huge point in saying that Houle's stats were KILLED by his play in WHL because he had no one to back him up. If you saw WHL play last year then you know they were no good. If our D lines can get their act together and help out our goaltenders then this guy and the goalies we already have can do their job a lot prettier. And honestly its not like we are winning every game right now so we need to be open to this change and welcome this guy in a respectful manner not bash him as soon as he walks through the door. At least give him a freaking chance!!!!

Houle is cool.
Okay first of all you have no room to be AMEN-ing anything when you are bashing our other goalie that is being hung to dry without any dmen coverage. Juice is NOT a bad goaltender. He hasn't been playing pretty lately but I am so sick of goalies taking all the freaking blame for the lack of dmen coverage. I have said it once and I will say it again... if our d line was PERFECT we wouldnt even need a damn goalie because the puck wouldnt reach the crease end of story. I'm glad you have the creativity to create little names for the goalie but honestly if you were a fan of this team you would realize where the problems actually were and cut the guy some damn slack. I'm not saying I am completely happy with the product in front of us, but lets not blame the goalie for problems that are not only his own. This goes back to when everyone hated Dov... he took alllllll the heat for every loss just like Juice and Cassy do and now everyone would bow down to whatever god you worship if he was back in a Cyclones uniform. SO SICK OF IT! |

Caitskee, you have pretty much proved a very valid point. Watch Houle win his first game and see all the naysayers come running to his side.
Regardless, Cincy is going thru the ordeal that we in Dayuton went thru last season. Spotty goaltending and a serious need for better defensive performance. Kinda sucks doesn't it? Especially following such a successful previous season. |

Didn't mean to put you in a tizzy.
Now I do.
Gastinkski had poor reaction time and couldn't control most rebounds. He may be a nice kid-I don't know him-but in the 5 games in which I've him play, he has been awful in four of the 5. His performance has been pathetic. Final. Period. End.
While our defense has been pretty bad, it certainly isn't as bad as the goals against indicate. A solid veteran like Houle will prove the point. He may need a game or two, but he wouldn't have seen significant AHL time and had a cup of coffee in the NHL if he didn't have a considerable degree of talent.
If Gajewski had been a free agent signee, he would have been CUT weeks ago. He has shown no progress and Weber finally pushed the panic button. A couple more weeks of Juice and our chances of making the playoffs would be as much as a cooked goose.
Cut loose the Juice. He's a poor goaltender excuse. We need no more goals against abuse. His lack of talent is profuse. When I watch him I want to hang myself with a noose.
Now I hope your really sick of it

THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE!!!!!!! We aren't going to get Ceddy caliber goalies every freaking year!
Weber isn't pushing the panic button over Juice's talent its the fact that he is the only goalie we had that could play... Lee is EBUG and Cassy is hurt. Juice can't play every night and if Cassy is out 6 weeks we OBVIOUSLY need another goalie that can at least let Juice have off nights.
If you are that worried about the skill or lack of as you claim then don't come to the games and don't worry about the team. Even in the NHL guys have bad nights, so good luck being a fan of anything! |
