You are welcome folks. And you too Citizen Dick (head)...since you like reading all the posts on here. This is a forum which you can also be honest and state your true feelings. We can agree or disagree on them. I for one am happy to have a new goalie. I think Juice is ok, but still needs time and a decent defense in front of him. This board is not for garbage, or bickering. We leave that to those who are still mad their team packed up and moved away. Those without a home team to cheer for. Those who are bitter and jealous. Our team may not be the greatest right now, but we have to stick together. Those who wanna talk bad, go to www.hecklersgrove.com They like to talk all kinds of bad things about us....that is until we win. As a matter of fact, they never even talk hockey any more. It's just a one-man show and idiots who like to read the garbage he posts. All last season CD and his cohorts (NOT FRIENDS) ripped us apart. But as soon as we won the Kelly Cup, it was All Quiet on the Western Front. So, let's move on folks. We'll see your happy a$$es tomorrow night, loud and proud.

Okay Heckler, you make some great points.However,I'm not ready to give a green light to
the play we have seen from the team so far.If we as fans sit back and blame the bad play
to minor league hockey with young players learning the game,we fall into the trap the
Reds and Bengals have fed us. When I see the team start out with two GREEN goalies, I
know the mistakes are going to happen.But when I see an "o-lay" performance by Kyle in
a shootout,this is not acceptable.When I see defensemen dishing out cheap shots and
elbows when the game is close and penalties can't be afforded,this is not part of player
development.When I see a power play when skaters make three trips around the net without
a shot and finally turn it over,this again has to stop.This past week has reached the
coach's boiling point I guess by players being suspended, a more veteran goalie brought
in and the talk of going back to basis.I don't expect last year's team based on the
talent we lost.I do expect a team playing under control.Coach Weber has stepped up and
is making changes.If players want to showboat or not listen-SEND THEM PACKING OR KEEP
THEM ON THE BENCH.Hamilton and Milwaukee wants players they can count on if they call
them up. |

hfh, all great points, but this is cincinnati, where it is easy to complain about bad teams. sad i know, but everyone does it, and we're good at it because we have had years of practice.
when a team is good is the best time for an existing fanbase to recruit newish fans. so everyone get out there and take a friend...two frien...seven friends to cyclones games! (as an added bonus, it can split the parking cost)
unrelated...does anyone remember there was a commercial years ago promoting a "chuck norris week" on channel 64 (i think it was 64, maybe 19, who knows why i remember this stuff)? "chuckchuckchuckchuckchuck...". think we could use that for our coaching genius? |
