Hi from Denver...

The topic of goaltending came up during yesterdays game chat. Namely what will happen to Martin Houle when Loic Lacasse comes back ? Lacasse wasn't exactly setting the world on fire when he went down (Remember hoping for Gajewski to come in ???).

I can't believe we would hold on to three goaltenders and I am sure we have an obligation to play our affiliated guys; so what do we do?

Perhaps someone could pose the question at the coaches show. I'm probably not going to make it.

Houle has improved the goaltending situation immensely. He is leading by example and giving the guys confidence even when we don't score 6 + goals a night. Gajewski was majorly improved in his start and I have to believe this team has turned the corner. It would suck to trade Houle back to LV (for himself). He deserves more than that from us.

My opinion is Houle is going nowhere unless he starts to falter.Goaltenders are always in
need and Loic was looking better than Kyle before he got injured. When Loic is ready,my bet
is Loic or Kyle will be loaned to another ECHL-CHL-IHL team for a backup until they prove
they are ready.Or maybe we teach one to drive the zamboni or run a video camera!

But they are the property of Nashville and Montreal....I don't see them letting us loan them out to other teams.

It'll certainly be interesting to see what happens when Locasse returns from injury.

Will Weber have to "Rudkowski" Houle? Will either of the affiliates be willing to have the
Cyclones loan Gajewski or Locasse to another ECHL team? Or a team in a different league?

I doubt that Weber would tip his hand on a question like this. He's probably spiking Gajewski's water with banned substances and will announce a random drug test when Locasse returns.

Don't think Montreal & Nashville would allow one to be loaned out?If
they were that secret worried about ECHL level talent they wouldn't
have a joint ECHL team like us. I don't see Martin going anywhere
before Kyle or Loic can step up and play three straight solid games
at this level.

I don't know how true this is or not... but I have heard that Loic's injury was close to season ending. Something may have been said differently at the coach's show... but if thats the case, then Houle will be here to stay.

I have talked to Loic a few times after
his injury and the 1st time he said it would be
about 6 weeks since it was the inner knee that
he sprung. The 2nd time I talked to him(last weekend)
he said about another 2 weeks. But thing could have change
since then but he was in good sprites and seem to be walking
better then he was the 1st time I seen him the night that he
was injured.
