I thought the game was pretty good. Nice to see McElroy get vengance from last night's melee by scoring twice. The officiating was a little better, but I thought the players were getting to close to a melee again. But that's just my lousy opinion. What is everyone's thoughts on the game.

Happy Holidays.

Not a bad game. Quite sloppy passing by the Clones in the Neutral zone. A lot of tips by the Chiefs. Maybe just good fore checking. Sgroi and Penner are nothing but Psycho headhunters. Good to see the Clones get a lil physical but not do anything too stupid.

It was one of the poorer games I've seen us play this season, just barely any quality SOG ... thank God for McElroy (as usual). Ryan should have gotten a star of the game for Johnstown for his great pair of penalties in the first period and the assist on the game-winning goal in OT.

On a positive note I think the replica rings are great. Definitely better than what I was expecting. A shame they're going to have so many left over though.

I thought we looked out of sync. Handling the puck and passes seemed to be a problem. At first I thought maybe the ice was rough but Johnstown had no problems. Putting people in front of Mayette and launching shots seemed to work; why we didn't do that more is a mystery. Not a lot of shots on goal. All in all we stole a point. Dumping the puck into the slot gave Houle no chance on the winning goal.

Johnstown is a much improved team. Their offense can get the job done. That being said I also have to add for a team that plays so physical they whine like my five year old when they actually get called for something. I like when Sgroi had a heart to heart with Nick Suhy at center ice...when is the last time that worked for you ? 1998?

Speaking of the officiating: I believe we have reached the pro wrestling level of refereeing. I know he can't see everything but when you intentionally don't look doesn't that make you WWF material? All we needed was a folding chair to come over the glass and have Penner and Sgroi double team Ehgoetz while Suhy (or Pochmara last night) is distracted by the Johnstown coach. You call one slashing behind the play and it stops. You ignore it long enough you get a brawl.

Have to agree the replica ring was much more than I expected.

The third period was pathetic. No shots on goal for the first 10 minutes at least.

Agree with tjpavlick on the 'out of sync' analysis. We very much looked like a one line team. The Milwaukee's worst combination of Santorelli and McKenzie was lame. Van Guilder and Gordon aren't finding their adjustments to the pro game easy either. With Syro out, it looks like if the opponent can shut down the Beau-Eghoetz- Latendresse line then the Clones are going to be looking at the wrong side of the scoreboard a lot.

Ryan is just god awful. He continually passes the puck cross-ice in the defensive end and once again got burned for a miscue on one of those ill-advised passes in OT. With MacDonald in Portland, Perkins injured and Mackway quitting (anyone know why?) and Lynch as crappy as Ryan, our defense is very vulnerable right now.

We were pushed around and intimidated for the second straight night by Johnstown. Word will get around that playing rough with us works. Perhaps Weber ought to allow me to sign an enforcer for him. With a choice like midget Mitch Woods, I couldn't do any worse.

I have to agree. I also feel that Johnstown isn't that good either, just lucky the past two nights. Where is the team that won five in a row? Tonight they just looked lost. Congrats to T.J. on two goals tonight (does anyone know, is that the first time this season we scored with the empty net?).

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The last I heard from the Hammer is that the Clones haven't had any success with the net empty, so I have to believe that this is the first time we've scored with a man advantage to tie the game.

Yes, I agree with the comments that the passing was awful late in the game as well as missing any rebound to put this game away. At this point, Weber should be emphisizing bashing the Chiefs hard into the boards since they have been really brutal. I just hope the Clones can pick things back up on Monday.

The effort was there on Friday night-it wasn't there last night. Maybe the fear of
ref's calls or just the fear of Johnstown itself-we weren't playing last night.T.J.
was.Ehgoetz was trying but with every Johnstown player slashing, spearing, holding and
every other callable penalty not being called,he was ineffective. How about Penner
almost boarding our player into the Johnstown bench with the linesman almost going in
with him in the third and NO PENALTY CALLED.#2 Donny Grove was as useless as racing
stripes on a hockey stick.#76 Ben Gordon has a breakaway and skates to two feet of
the goalie before making a useless shot into his pads. The final play in overtime we
get the puck at center line and RETREAT back to behind our net and turn it over in our
end for the winning shot. All night we waited for pucks to come to us,allowing the much
faster Johnstown to catch up and tie us up or take it away.I'm not ready to put a bag
on my head, but this team reminds me of the early first year IHL team when we started
out with ECHL New Jersey level players and everyone had their way with us.

To me this was pretty much a continuation of the third period from Friday nights fiasco. A lack of shots on goal and poor passing.

I could be wrong (like that would be a first....) but I thought I heard Hammer say on a previous boradcast the Cyclones had never scored a goal with the net minder pulled under Chuck Weber (until last night now).

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

David Desharnais scored the tying goal in game 2 of the American Conference Finals vs. South Carolina last year with the goalie pulled.

I could be wrong, but it seems like we got one towards the end of the regular season last year as well...

Did anyone hear what happened to Kilpatrick ? He wasn't in the line up last night...I hope he didn't get hurt in the fight.

Also, did anyone else spot Loic Lacasse in the tunnel/behind the bench for overtime ? I would have missed him but he was wearing a bright sparkly blue tie that could have been seen from across the river. He wasn't on crutches or limping, but I was across the arena and was blinded by the neckware.
