houle in net, assuming he's healthy.

bernier has a go with lynch or martin.

with marty in net, i'm flipping cycloneryderfan73 prediction...we win 4-3 in a shootout.

of course that all is based on us being healthy....

With the recent call up of Olivier and the flu bug that just seems to hang around, I'm afraid we may still be down a little. 4-2 Wheeling as they score an empty netter.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

WHAT ?!?!?!?!?!?!

How 'bout we win 6-1 with Houle in goal, Van Guilder with a hat trick, Martin with a Gordie Howe hat trick (taking out Bernier) and City BBQ for everyone!

Except me.. who be listening via internet in Tucson, AZ. Bring us home a winner and don't forget your stuffed animals for the teddy bear toss!

I've been following the Cyclones since year two and tonight was a first. This was the
first time I ever left a game early because I gave up on them. With six minutes left,
I threw the towel in and left. This team has been so raided by Hamilton that they don't
even belong in an ECHL level game.I will be there tomorrow and I'm ashamed to say ONLY
for the bobblehead. If no promotion,I think I would have passed and gave the tickets
away later.GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE.

Bags, I too left early (after the sixth goal). That was an embarrassing game to watch. I just hope that the guys put it together soon. On a positive note, the new guy, Justin Johnson made Cedrick Bernier his bitch tonight.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I can deal with the talent being drained by the affiliaites, but I can't deal with lack of effort & intensity...of the games I've been too this year, I've yet to see a full 60 minute effort...didn't have this issue the previous two years...

I thought maybe the crappy play was partially the left over effects of the flu bug that went around in addition to the call ups. But I was told before the game the team was back healthy so that was not the case.
With the call ups we have had to endure, if all we can do is sign some junior college player, we could be in for a long losing streak.

I would never leave a game early ... I'm not saying people who do are evil, but I will support the team at all costs, whether it's 10-0 or whatever. We stayed the whole team. Not the worst game had it not been for the first period. Houle was completely left out to dry on the last three goals, defense was atrocious. After this and the Charlotte game, definitely some hard hockey to watch. I agree somebeach, the Johnson-Bernier fights were nice. Who has the 411 on this Johnson guy? Is he a typical fighter?

Also the Columbus police defeated the Cincinnati firemen 4-3 with about a minute remaining in OT. Great, even game ... was kind of hoping it would go to the SO though.

I'm with Fangers. I just want to see these guys play a lot harder than they are. 5 guys doing 5 different things on the ice at all times right now. Need to play smarter, because they can't outskate the teams I'm watching them play.

First time since the Clones "unsuspended" that I left early without having a commitment somewhere else.

The entire defensive corps should have been dressed in orange. Not only is that the same color as our lowly Bungles, but pylons also share that color. What a collective joke they were. Other than Martin's cheap shot cross check with a few minutes left, they showed about as little heart and effort as I have ever seen from a Weber-coached team.

Without Latendresse and Syro, our offense is very medicore. If VanGirlie (I mean Gorder) and Flash Gordon don't get in gear, this team is in deep heap o' trouble. Beauregard isn't near as effective without Latendresse. McLeod is simply awful. MacKenzie is a joke. Cohen and Fitzpatrick are ok, but not big producers. Eghoetz has been averaging a point per game, but much of that was due to Latendresse.

I'm afraid it's going to be a bit rocky for awhile. As the roster stood last night, the Cyclones will have a very difficult time beating anyone let alone a good team like Wheeling.

Oh, well. Some years a diamond (last) some years a stone (this).

Okay I'm a little bit calmer even after seeing the next post "Lacasse and St. Denis
recalled to Hamilton."I too like the play of Johnson except for the second period
when he got leveled and a call was being made. His second fight wasn't needed and
could have cost us a power play.I hope the coach tries him with the top power play
guys(your guess is as good as mine) and set him up right in front of the net and be
a pest.He actually looked pretty good skating but that just means Hamilton will steal
him in the next three games.Despite his bad outing,I still go with Martin tonight. At
least for the time being we know we won't have to get rid of him.All I ask from the team
is 100% effort. If you lose I can handle that but I can't handle a 75% effort like you
showed me last night.

Why won't the guys attack the freaking net? Is there so little confidence in our defense that even the forwards are trying to play D? None of them's doing a very good job of it at any rate.

The only reason we left early was to talk to our Cyclones Rep about having the location of our season tickets moved. A couple games into the season, these guys started sitting a couple rows in front of us. They could get a little loud sometimes, whatever, but they pissed me off too much last night! One of the bears someone threw down bounced off the glass. It was a particularly large bear; the losers picked it up and tried to hide it under a coat! I couldn't believe my eyes! I had no intention of letting them walk out of there with it, but my husband insisted I not confront them directly about it; I told a US Bank staff member about it, and she said she'd have an usher take care of it. With 6 minutes left in the game and nothing being done about it, we left to talk to our rep. When we told the Cyclone staff about it, the bear was promptly recovered! Those bears are for underprivilaged kids dammit! Anyways, it was the last straw, and we will not be sitting in that section anymore!

We did finish watching the rest of the game in another section; I love watching hockey no matter what! I'd rather watch a losing Cyclones team than a winning Reds team!
