MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that goaltender Marc Denis and forward Ben Maxwell have been recalled to the Canadiens from the Hamilton Bulldogs while goaltender Loic Lacasse has been reassigned from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL to the Bulldogs. Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois also announced today that defenceman Frederic St-Denis has been recalled to Hamilton from Cincinnati.

Denis, 31, has played in 19 games for the Bulldogs this season. The Colorado Avalanche 1st round, 25th overall selection in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft has a record of 12-6-0, including two shutouts, while posting a 2.60 GAA and a .915 save percentage. The native of Montreal, Quebec was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 2, 2008, after recording three wins in as many starts and stopping 96 of the 99 shots he faced

Maxwell, 20, leads all Bulldogs rookies and ranks third on the 'Dogs in points with 20 (eight goals, 12 assists) after playing in all of the club's 26 games this season. The 6-foot-1, 187-pound centre, completed his fifth season with the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League in 2007-2008. A 2nd round, 49th overall selection by Montreal in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Maxwell, recorded 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) in 31 games with the Ice last season while also earning nine points (six goals, three assists) in 10 post-season games with Kootenay.

Lacasse, 22, has played in four games for the Cyclones this season and has a record of 1-1-1 while posting a 4.13 GAA and a .885 save percentage. Last season, Montreal's 6th round, 181st selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft competed in 47 games with the Bloomington PrairieThunder of the IHL compiling a record of 19-18-5 with a 3.24 GAA and a .906 save percentage.



St-Denis, a 22-year-old native of Greenfield Park, Quebec played in three games with Hamilton earlier this season registering one assist. He earned six assists in 10 games with Cincinnati this season. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound blueliner spent last season with the University of Quebec Trois Rivieres where he posted 18 points (four goals, 14 assists) in 28 games.

The Bulldogs travel to Toronto to battle their archrival the Marlies for a 4:00 p.m. match-up on Sunday, December 14th, at Ricoh Coliseum.
