At the Christmas Party he wished to be able to play a game before the season was over... glad he got his wish!
Capitals bring in defenceman Perkins 18th December 2008
The Edinburgh Capitals are delighted to be able to announce the signing of defenceman Sean Perkins for the remainder of the 08/09 season in the bmibaby Elite Ice Hockey League.
Perkins spent the last two season playing in the ECHL for Cincinnati Cyclones. Over 48 games he had 13 points, from 5 goals and 8 assists, and 58 penalty minutes.
Doug Christiansen, Capitals Director of Hockey, commented, "Sean is a mobile defender who played with last years ECHL champions the Cincinnati Cyclones. He is a young player who is hungry to succeed. He had a shoulder injury earlier this season but he is fit and ready to go now. I am looking for him to bring more depth and skill to our blueline. He will be given the opportunity to play in all situations. The addition of Sean also allows us to explore the idea of bringing Adam Stefishen back up front. I think Sean will be a key contributor down the stretch."
A flight has been booked for Sean Perkins and he is expected to play this weekend.

| I will support Sean in his future endeavor's. I will gladly wear his jersey from the Kellycup finals. This happens to be unfortunate timing for this team. So, I say to you all, should it not be our affilates that we should be upset with? Granted, our boys deserve a shot at AHL or better. Please leave this team alone for the remainder of the season. Allow our coaches to find some talent for this team. Let Barret Ehgoetz as captain turn this team into cohesive unit for the ramainder of the year, and roll over to next year. Note; Barret I know you read section 60 web site, you've not been forgotten. I will also state this, please one and all true Cyclone fans let coach Weber and Dean know we still support them through these unfortunate times. In Chuck we trust! Let them know people! We owe them that much for bring a championship to Cincinnati! |
2008 Kelly cup champs, the best Cyclones team ever! |

I glad Sean has finally gotten a place to play. Every time he suited up for us he seemed to make a positive impact on what was happening on the ice.
Its sad he got caught up in the numbers and wasn't able to play more but perhaps when the Euro season ends he can return to us and continue to make that impact with the Cincinnati Cyclones! |

I agree with Tony (tamg...) but I still feel bad for Chuck & Dean that our players are getting picked up/recalled.
I do support this team & have ever since my first game way back in the Fall of 1990. Who knew back then how much I would love this sport??? :-) |
