Yea Justin takes some bonehead pen sometimes but he give 110% every shift hes on the ice got any better ideas?!?!? Mitch woods was spose to be the player to get under the other teams skin but, hes gone and we don't have ne1 else here 2 do the dirty work so deal with it hes on our team end of story!!!!!!!!!!!
In this case it is quite simple if you would have read previous posts regarding Johnson, and not just from me. His career ECHL stats bare it out: 101 games played, 9 goals, 7 assists, 16 points with a MINUS 24 and 249 penalty minutes. Absolutley pathetic for a forward. Why do you think Utah cut him in the middle of a season. Can you say "Liability?" His "Effort" consists of skating around trying to start fights at the stupidest times, such as helping the team to negate power plays they are on and leaving the team short handed when they have leads. His puck handling is also terrible. Take one look at this depleted roster and you know the ONLY reason he is here....He is a body to put on the ice. He may not be gone by January 1, but if Chuck gets some people back I am confident he will be then. END OF STORY!!!
1. Justin wasn't brought here to score goals therefore his point stats aren't relevant.
2. If you wanna chirp about why Utah cut him like you were actually there when the decision was made then I suggest paying closer attention to the facts. Their team has several players that have stepped up for the enforcing role as we have NONE.
3. I would rather Johnson be taking "stupid" penalties to stick up for the team instead of having our scoring forwards in the box for 5 min and risking injuries.
4. The guys are happy to have him here so when you play on the team and you know what makes a difference then your opinion will matter. Vanny talked about how thankful he was to have him here so the guys don't have to worry about fighting / sticking up for themselves or teammates when opponents get frisky. Try telling the team that their opinion on what helps them is wrong. |

Listen lady if you can't stand this team so much then enough with your Booster Club events and watch parties at Sluggers because your "support" is null and void. I'm not asking you to lie and say they play well when they don't, but enough with the constant negativity. I agree that Friday night there was a major lack of effort from the team as a whole, but the constant bitching about the team is getting a bit ridiculous. If you don't like what you're seeing save your money and spare yourself the misery. Don't come to games, don't listen to games, don't go to the bar to watch the games. I was under the impression that you had been following the team for quite some time which also leads me to believe that you've seen good and bad seasons. Do you bottom out every season that they don't win every game? |

No Caitskee I don't 'bottom out'. I was just stating my feelings. Get a grip. That's what this board is for. I've been watching hockey probably longer than you've been alive.

| Cait - I definitely think you're getting the wrong impression from Susan here. There's a very fine line between talking about a team's play and "supporting" them. Susan was at Sluggers (and is in Dayton for many of those games, just like most of us on here), and she was also in Wheeling Saturday night. Buying tickets to games, making road trips, wearing your Cyclones jersey, that is the support. Posting on a message board and what not about the games and the actual play, is nice because you get to be honest and talk with other fans, and let's face it, Friday night's game was ugly, and there have been some lately. Negativity is going to come when a team plays bad ... all of us who were around for the 03-04 season know what that is like. But to truly stop "supporting" the team would be to stop coming to games because they are losing. |

Never said she couldn't have her own opinion, but definately tired of hearing the constant gripe about how "awful" this team is. If you don't like it so bad that you won't shut up about how terrible it is, DON'T COME. That's for everyone, not just Susan. Also figured as an active part of the Booster Club she would be more supportive of the team during wins AND losses, not come on here and complain about the hockey she's watching/"supporting." |

Might be the case, but that proves my point further. If you have been watching hockey for as long as I was assuming you have then you have seen your share of good and bad seasons and you know this kind of thing happens. It's understandable to be disappointed after watching such a great season last year but the CONSTANT complaining from a good number of people on here is what has me very annoyed. And for the record... I was just stating my feelings too if you wanna play that card. |

| Mellow out folks. We went from watching a fantastic team last year to a barely middle of the road team so far this year. It is natural to be a little frustrated and I don't see a problem with expressing that frustration. Expressing frustration should not be confused with not supporting the team. I am still hopeful that we can pick up some players and / or otherwise get it together between now and the end of the season but in the mean time I don't expect fans to ignore the problems they see on this team. |
