That is bizarre. I had not heard of that league, but it is a team in Quebec. Houle is from Quebec, and it said in the Cyclones news article that he was going back home to enroll in college ... I guess he's going to play for a hometown team part-time while in school? Or is he not even going to school?
In another interesting bit, here is an article from that team that mentions both former Cyclones Jimmy Boneau and Alex Dulac-Lemelin: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://crsexpress.lnah.com/nouvelle.aspx%3Fi%3D5195&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=10&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmartin%2Bhoule%2Blnah%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG
the league is the LNAH...it was formally the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League. it's regionally based and being that it is "semi-pro" i'm not sure if the players are part of the nhlpa and how his suspension by the cyclones comes into play.
basically if is a straight up goon league very similar to the original echl. there is a documentary on the laval chiefs which i think is a must see for minor league hockey fans out there...i know netflix has it
