PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Friday announced that Barret Ehgoetz of the Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones has replaced teammate Olivier Latendresse as a starter for the American Conference in the 2009 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Guardian Wear™.
It is the first All-Star appearance for Ehgoetz, who leads the Cyclones with 22 assists and is tied for the team lead with 33 points in 35 games.
Latendresse was reassigned by the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League from Cincinnati to Hamilton of the American Hockey League on Dec. 9, 2008. He has 33 points (18g-15a) in 23 games for the Cyclones and seven points (1g-6a) in 11 games with Hamilton.
The Reading Royals, the City of Reading and the Sovereign Center will host the 17th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on Jan. 21, 2009 and the 12th Annual All-Star Skills Competition on Jan. 20, 2009.
There have been four coaches and 46 players from the All-Star Game who have advanced to the National Hockey League. Twenty-nine players from the All-Star Game have gone on to play in the NHL since 2002 when the lineups began having players who coaches felt were prospects to move up to a higher level.
The Stanley Cup and the Patrick J. Kelly Cup will both be on display throughout the event, marking the ninth time in the last 10 years that the NHL championship trophy and the ECHL championship trophy have been displayed together at the All-Star Game.

From his performances on the ice, he will represent the best of the Clones. Good luck in Reading Barret and have some fun.

Quite an honor for a very deserving player. A very nice feather in his cap.
Though he wouldn't have made the All Star team without Latendresse's call up, Eghoetz has been an invaluable member of the Clones for the past 3 seasons and deserves to fill Olivier's spot. He's a gutty little guy who contributes offensively and his penalty killing ability is outstanding.
Way to go, Eggo!

Definitely a nice achievement for Eggo, I was going to hate our team to be vacant in the game due to Latindresse rightfully being in Hamilton. Eggo is also the only member left on the team that was here from the team's "comeback" in 06-07. Martin was until recently, of course, as in only the second game of that season, was the infamous incident with Nick Parillo.

Barret wil be on Sports (C)Rock on channel 5 on Sunday night.
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
