Looks like B2 network dropped the ball again. In the middle of the third period no broadcast. I finally got results from listing the Nailers radio broadcast. Our Cyclones beat them in overtime! 5-4. Thanks for nothing B2! |

| Was it even on The Maxx? I turned it on once and they were talking about something else. |

| MaxFM had the OSU basketball game (really? They don't deserve to pre-empt our hockey). Nice to see that the Clones beat the Nailers again and hope they continue their winning ways when the all-star break is over. |

Too bad that they let WHL get a point. The Clones played a very disciplined game and controlled the flow throughout most of it.
Nie wasn't too impressive but still ran his lifetime record to 10-0 or 11-0 vs the Nailers.
Zero (Scero) missed an open net from just outside the WHL blue line. And No Flash Gordon and someone else missed clearing opportunities on the ensuing WHL possession in the Cyclone's zone.
Still, 4 W's in a row comes as a very nice surprise. |

| Nailers shouldn't have escaped with a point, we played a very solid game. I disagree with the people who have been saying Nie hasn't played well. He did give up one or two softies last night, but oh well ... the final goal was scored on the 6 on 4 and it appeared to me he was screened pretty well. |

He's ok. I probably made a bad snap judgement on him based on his first few games here.
He still missed an open net that Stevie Wonder could have scored on, so he earned the Zero moniker for last night |

| Wheeling fans were yelling at their team most of the night where we sat because they couldn't keep the puck half of the time. It was great to come out winning for overtime although I hate any overtime games. |

I agree... Wheeling should send a great big thank you card to St. Denis for a very poor clearing attempt on the PK which led directly to Wheelings third goal. |

clearing the puck was an issue in the third period with out doubt. sure had scero hit the empty net it's lights out, but hitting an empty net at full speed from center ice (yes it was center ice not the wheeling blue line, i was there and from my seat he was about 4 or 5 feet past the center ice line...i call that center ice, not just outside the wheeling blue line...) with guys bearing down on you is harder than it looks; if he were all by himself i think he hits it, but he had a guy in front that was cutting off the angle to the net, a guy coming in from the side and if i recall correctly a guy presuring him from the back as well. that being said the empty net goal is a non issue had the boys cleared the puck and not continually turned the puck over at there own blue line in the last minute...
i'm still giving our guys lots of credit for not hanging their heads going into OT. the team of october/november could have very easitly hung their heads and let the extra point get away from them. these guys, went the other way and took it to wheeling in the OT.... |

A bouncing puck from Center Ice knowing you're about to get leveled is easy? I'll give him a pass on missing that one... |
