This is a great idea, A giveaway that attracts people to the game is a good giveaway. Especially after this historic election. 8508 in attendance just made this bobblehead night a success! Nobody should be complaining about that! This was very creative idea!

Although I hate mixing politics with the things I love like hockey....it brought in one hell of a crowd.....I haven't seen lines like that to get into the building since the Kelly Cup final game.

It was quite a crowd. I ended up getting there late (about 5 minutes into the 1st) and they were closing off the parking garage because it was full. Across from Game Day was also full at that point, where we normally park. I was actually surprised more didn't pile in because when we entered the walk up lines were still about 15 people deep.

By the way, somebeach and KRL, thanks for showing up to UC-Xaiver. You only missed the a 16-4 Bearcats victory!

We went to Friday nights game, a 9-6 victory by U.C. We didn't make it last night because KRL just got over bronchitis (not sure if thats spelled right) and he was starting to have trouble with his breathing again, so we didn't want to chance him getting sick again.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ClonesFanNKY - Hey, maybe Im misreading your post, but the bobbleheads weren't caught up anywhere. They were all boxed up in the information booth before the puck was even dropped at the start of the game. Just thought I'd let you know that.

Also - I dont care about Obama or the bobblehead, but my girlfriend is a BIG supporter of him, and it was one of the most exciting giveaways that she's ever wanted. She doesnt keep the posters, or magnets, etc. This however, was something that really excited her and it sucked that we showed up at 6:30 and still wasnt early enough to get a "voucher." I would have been happy to just get her one, even though I bought an extra ticket in hopes of getting an extra bobblehead for a friend that is a collector.

Hell, I collect bobbleheads of my favorite players, but Im not a fan of the big rush/fans that go crazy for a giveaway.

Funny thing about this was, when I was buying my tickets, a guy in the line next to me walked up and said "I'd like 2 tickets in the red seats."

I started laughing, because even though it was great that we had new fans coming out to the games, it sucked that an OBAMA BOBBLEHEAD had to be the motivation. Im sorry, but if you've never been to a game, or in USBA, to know that ALL the seat cushions are RED, then you, my friend, are a bandwagon, STA grabbing, non-hockey lovin' person.

I rest my case.

Oh...and I need to add that a 2ND TWISTER BOBBLEHEAD is a joke, when they could have shown props to Cedric or D.D. or a few others from our Kelly Cup squad last year....

No, they gotta do an upside down Twister....I think maybe they are trying to attract more KIDS in with this, which is a good strategy (See: Obama B.H. night) however, I want me a goalie B.H. or one that shows appreciation for our boys that played so hard last year.

I will also add that I do appreciate the fact that the organization is having 3 bobbleheads this year, and not just one. That is a big jump in promotion/ticket sales. I just hope they do it again next year, and put out some better B.H.

It was voted upon and Twister was the winner. We have already had a DD bobblehead this year. WHERE WERE YOU?? Ceddy is gone as well as most other members of last year's squad. They did a DD because he was MVP. If you don't want the joke, my kids would love to have an extra bobblehead of their favorite mascot TWISTER!!!

Heckler...I sit here reading your response, and I just tell myself that the only reason why I dont care about your remarks is that its a message board, its text, and its easily misunderstood what people are saying.

You are right, PARDON ME, I have the DD bobblehead sitting just 5 feet from me on my kitchen table. I have one, and was just naming off names of players MORE IMPORTANT to a promotion than I would've thought another Twister bobblehead would be. Its that simple.

Secondly, if you really think that poll they had on the website for VOTING was a respectable poll, then the joke is ON YOU. If anyone should have won that poll, it should have been Coach Weber, or even Wildman, for all the years he's put into the team, or "Cyclones" name. Weber is just as important, if not more, than DD being MVP, or Ceddy, or anyone.

Now understand, I have a great amount of respect for your patronage to the team. You bring a fun, intimidating (to the other team) atmosphere with your Jason mask and pounding on the boards, etc....However, dont insult me with the "where were you's" and the facts that Cedric, among others, is gone. No f***ing duh! The player doesnt have to be on the present day roster to be enshrined with a promotion such as a bobblehead. Yet, people like you seem to confuse the wording in text as if I were complaining that he wasnt still here.

Buckeye, I'm not trying to insult you. If I did, sorry. The Clones won't do ex-players as bobbleheads unless they are of VERY importance or their number is being retired. They already did a player from last year's team. They could do a Ceddy one, but only about 1/2 of the people at the game would even know who he was. Wildman does not want one of him. As for Chuck, YEAH, I believe there is good reason for one of him. The thing is, last year Twister sliding on his head became a BIG thing. That's why it became an option. I personally don't care one way or another. If we talk about the past, shouldn't Terry Ficorreli's name be mentioned in that? Or Paul Lawless? Or Biggs? Heck, I'll throw Jevers' name in the hat too. Without him we'd have to discuss our team on that piece of crap Dreamer's Grove Board!!

Let's set all of our differences aside for a second. Do you guys agree that having 3,000 bobbleheads was too few? They knew it would be a big draw, as it always is. They probably had 2,000-3,000 people there for the bobblehead only and only a fraction of them actually got one. The Cyclones put on a good show last night, it's a shame that many experiences were tarnished by not getting the bobblehead.

I think the Twister Bobblehead is a great idea. It is creative and different. I haven't seen one that has legs bobbling as opposed to a head. I personally would love to have one of Paul Lawless as he was by far my favorite Cyclone of all time, but again very few would even know who he is and even fewer would care. If a twister bobblehead draws anywhere near what the Obama did I will be very happy.

Another old character that would be nice to see would be a My Cyclone Bobblehead, the first and original mascot of the Clones. Sure he didn't slide on his head but he was a huge attraction in his hey day.

Heckler, no prob man. I think its just the text/words that get taken out of context, and people speak differently in person than on the computer. Either way, it all good.

Secondly, poff34, I dont know you, nor do I care for your words on something that didnt involve you. Should I point out that Heckler made the same "mistake" in words, by saying why not have a Biggs bobblehead, when in reality, WE ALREADY HAVE???? No.

I think you bring up a great question TwoMinutesWellWorthIt. 3000 was not nearly enough. I think the Reds (among other organizations) got the idea by providing enough B.H.'s for a majority of the seats (Reds usually have 30-40k available in a 42k seat stadium - correct me if Im wrong). So, I could see the Cyclones bringing out enough to equal the bottom bowl, which is 6950. They could have done 5000 and that would have been a better amount.

How many bandwagon, SGA grabbin' fans went to the game last night just for the bobblehead, and didnt get one? I would think that some of those that went for it, and the game second, will probably think twice about going again, because they didnt get their piece of "history."

I saw a Obama BH on ebay earlier this week, and it wasnt the one that they gave out at the game last night. The one they gave out apparently has him in a Cyclones uniform, whereas the one on ebay didnt, so now, Im a little more desirable towards finding me one for my collection.

Either way....Lets bring a Heckler bobblehead out, eh? LOL His hands can bobble at the same time as his head, as if he's beating on the glass to the "Lets go Cyclones" chant HAHAHA
