Fruitloop? upset that 13000 came to the cup finals? yes, I can actually say that I was somewhat disappointed in the crowd that showed up during the finals, folks throwing bottles and superballs onto the ice, folks starting fights outside with the Stingrays fans sfter the previous series win.....unless you can say that you were there during that season on..lets say a Tuesday where the draw was 1500, The cyclones have a chance to win the cup now! The team has been playing pretty good hockey and I wonder what the attendance will be on WED? Where will all the 8500 folks be then? I think I have the right to be alittle critical of the bandwagoners, and folks there only for a stupid bobblehead, regardless of who it is! sorry it's a hardline stance but alot of us have been there when we barley could get 800 in the stands. however, Upset and disappointed is one thing.....I perfectly understand that folks being in the seats are the priority for the survival of the team, however like I said before 5000 fans on regular non-promotion nights would also get the job done. I would certainly live with 8500 fans a game but we all know thats not going to happen, 8500 fans is great, more money in the pockets of the Cyclones, but I go to the games to watch the hockey, not collect a bobblehead, that's what i'm disappointed. One of the most winningest team in Cincinnati and folks stream in get a bobblehead. Must expain why folks go to the Bengals games, not to see the game but to get all the crap freebies they give out.
Now if you were there on a Tuesday when the draw was 1500 or so last season then I guess we can only agree to disagree. |

| I think this weekend's crowd would have been large even without Pink in the Rink and the Obana Bobblehead giveaway. The fact that both nights drew large crowds, and not just one of them, is significant. |

| Hakeedude, I agree it is significant however it still steams me the way that the fans in this city behave, the attendance at the beginning of the year is traditionally higher, but pink in the rink was certainly a draw....this team, despite it's slow start are now showing their colors, winning. Why isn't the fact that this team is winning good enough for Cincinnati to have great regularly attended games? that it takes pink in the rink or Obama bobble head to get numbers like this...or like fruitloop? siad the cup finals to produce large numbers.... I just cannot stand bandwagoners....I knew dozens of guys in college who would purchase caps from the teams that recently won either the Super bowl or the Stanley Cup just to wear a hat of the winning team, now if those 13000 or so who watched the cup win became regulars...I know a few, then fine I suppose I will see them on Wed night |

The priority is getting people into the arena and let the "product" speak for itself. Case in point, I was standing in the concession line talking to a couple guys who said it was their first Cyclones game. They said they were having a blast and couldn't wait to come back to the next one.
I don't believe attendance is higher at the beginning of the season. It seems like it never really picks up until after the New Year between football and baseball. That's why I hate seeing only three home games in March and no weekend games. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

| Super, cloneinator then i'm happy. most of us have known for quite awhile that the Clones were infact a quality product......I have a blast regardless if there are 500 folks in the stands or 8500 folks in the stands....the fact of the matter however is i'm aware that the Clones have to do a better job at attracting the casual fans, and thus we are left with Obama Bobblehead night.....oh the pain....the pain |

| I agree with SCUBA, I always love the games no matter what, it can be fun, unfortunately due to my personal schedule I have barely made it out this season so far, but I'm trying my hardest to get to at least 3/4 of the rest of the home games this season. |

The same goes for me. I went to a majority of the home games last year, including the one where only 12 people (sarcaism) showed up because of the snow/ice. You could hear the echo of people's WHISPERS from the other side of the arena LOL.
Either way, I posted about how that guy in the line to buy tickets asked for "red seats" obviously showing he'd never been to a game before, and probably hadnt been in USBA either.

Haha, that was pretty funny. |

I completely hate it. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing the Bengals and Cyclones should have in common is they are in Cincinnati. Putting anything Bengals related with the Cyclones is just a embarrassment. Then again, I have a big hatred for anything related to the Bengals. |
