right now the boys are sitting at 2-2 on this road trip. i was hoping to see what the guys were made of with the 3 games against florida, but with jimmy gone, barret out, and 4.5 defensemen, it's hardly a fair assessment, but such is the life for a AA hockey team. i was hoping to go 4-2 for the road trip but am now thinking that 3-3 would be a success. as depleted as we are, taking 1 from the potent florida team could be considered a moral victory in the least.

comments, thoughts...anyone?

Im just looking for a good sound game where the defense and offense give 110% rather we lose or win. A good effort shows heart and our boys have heart for the game

Here are their career stats.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yes, not a lot of scoring punch there. Maybe they are more defensive minded players. God knows we need the defense.

the d might be good right now but there are only 4 of them (o'hanely, coghlan, salekin, and sawatske) that know the team. it will be next week before we know what these guys have to offer.

looks like the boys bounced back pretty well. the weekend warriors proved to be solid enough to give the regulars a rest and we just plain out worked florida tonight. hopefully with the week off the boys will leave it all the ice tomorrow and do it again....

Kinkle and Van Buskirk may not be the the next Wayne Gretsky's, but they do come with quite a bit of experience.

Chuck NEVER ceases to amaze me where he finds players. Sometimes I think if you put him on a remote island in the south Pacific he would make players out of a tribe of indians who never heard of hockey.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

It was an impressive win, especially when were on the man disadvantage for what seemed like half the game. Opposite of Wednesday, it appears Florida was outplaying us 5-on-5 so we had to get it done some other way ... the Syro short handed goal, JJ's goal on the 2-on-1, ect. But my MVP, just like Hammer's, was Nie. Easily his strongest game to date IMO.

Yes it was impressive. BTW, cyclonehole, I got tired of waiting for an invite to watch the game, so I went to Sluggers and watched the 2nd and 3rd periods. Good crowd there last night. We are going there tonight to watch the Steam play and in between periods we will be checking out the Clones game.

LOL. It may have been Stork who came up with these guys. In any case it is amazing how the coaching staff comes up with guys on a moment's notice.

I'm glad that I don't bet on sports. I would have lost big time on yesterday's game. This team may have developed the intangible of being able to do whatever it takes to win. I had basically written them off after they were beaten 5-2 in early January by Trenton at USBA on a Friday night. They were simply horrible that night and hadn't been very impressive in the previous several games in which I'd seen them play. The next night they looked like an entirely different team. They have gone 12-3 since that loss vs. Trenton.

I'm not sure how they're doing it, but they're getting it done. If they can fortify the line up somewhat and keep doing whatever they're doing, then these guys could make some noise in the playoffs.

I never would have thought this until last night.
