After Friday's games, the Northern Division is as tight as it could possibly be. Everyone has about the same magic number and all the games are within the division except our 2 vs. Gwinette. No one is playing exceptionally well over their last 10 games and no one is playing poorly either. It's flip the coin as to which one of the five remaining possible qualifiers will miss the playoffs.

The magic numbers in points to clinch are:
Johnstown and Cincinnati 21.
Trenton 22. Trenton has one game in hand on everyone as well.
Elmira and Wheeling 23.

Dayton's "Tragic number" is 13. It would take a miracle for the Bombers to qualify for the post season. They would need 2 teams to go completely into the tank and would have to probably win 8 of their last 10 games-niether situation is likely; especially the latter.

Cincinnati Cyclones 61 33 23 2 3 71

This race is getting absolutely crazy! I hope the Clones plan on bringing their "A" game against Trenton today.

They will have to play without Salekin.....

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The part that burns me up is if the playoffs started now-one of our top 5 would
stay home and Mississippi would get in with 61 points !!

With so little time left in the season, I think the Clones should be playing their A game for the rest of the season.

You're right, but I'm thinking "one game at a time" as well.

For whatever reason ECHL.com was slow updating the standing for the Wheeling win. The correct standings as of Sunday night are:

1 Cincinnati Cyclones 62 34 23 2 3 73 0.589
2 Wheeling Nailers 63 33 23 2 5 73 0.579
3 Johnstown Chiefs 63 34 25 4 0 72 0.571
4 Trenton Devils 62 33 23 2 4 72 0.581
5 Elmira Jackals 62 33 24 1 4 71 0.573
6 Dayton Bombers 63 28 30 2 3 61 0.484
7 Reading Royals 63 21 38 2 2 46 0.365

I'm sure the Johnstown series will be the deciding factor. Both teams will probably need at least 4 points out of the home series or six of the last four games. It will be a dog fight, unless our affiliates decide to raid us.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

The craziness continues. Elmira won tonight to jump from 5th into a 3 way tie for 1st. Cincinnati has one more game in hand then everyone else and that could be very important. 1 point separates the 5 teams.

1 Cincinnati Cyclones 62 34 23 2 3 73
2 Elmira Jackals 63 34 24 1 4 73
3 Wheeling Nailers 63 33 23 2 5 73
4 Johnstown Chiefs 63 34 25 4 0 72
5 Trenton Devils 63 33 24 2 4 72
