Sunday's games-My picks are Reading,Johnstown and Cincinnati.I pick Johnstown only
because Elmira is behind and we need to keep the 4th and 5th place teams as low as
possible. At this point,I am happy with 4th and in the playoffs over 5th and out by
one point!

This week certainly didn't do anything to sort things out.

After Sunday's games the Cyclones and Elmira each have 77 points. Johnstown, Trenton and Wheeling each have 76 points. All teams have 6 games to play.

The tie breaker possibilities would take an M.I.T. statistician to figure out and that I ain't. So, I'm going to call the magic numbers as follows (even though all 5 teams can't make it-I know!!):

Cyclones/Elmira 11
Tre/Whl/Jhn 12

Dayton's tragic number is 3. It could be less if they lose in regulation or overtime vs. Gwinnett this afternoon. That game is tied at 1 after 2 periods.

And looked at another way:
Cincinnati plays: Johnstown 4 times, Dayton 1 time, Trenton 1 time.
Elmira plays: Wheeling 3 times, Reading 2 times, Dayton 1 time.
Johnstown plays: Cincinnati 4 times, Reading 2 times.
Trenton plays: Wheeling 2 Times, Dayton 2 times, Cincinnati 1 time, Reading 1 time.
Wheeling plays: Elmira 3 times, Trenton 2 times, Dayton 1 time.

in my opinion:
Trenton has the easiest schedule.
Elmira has second easiest schedule.
Johnstown is third easiest.
Cincinnati and Wheeling have the toughest schedules over this last 2 weeks.

Lets hope that the Cyclones are in a playoff frame of mind because it's win or go home.

By my calculation as of the end of tonight 5 points over the last 3 games means we have a lock on the playoffs. That number could drop on Sunday.

If I had my choice, the team I most want out is Trenton and second would be Elmira
due to the distance from Cincinnati and the fact I don't trust Elmira not to go
headhunting if they knew they would be eliminated.I just hope we don't play
Johnstown in the first round after playing them these last FOUR games !!!

Has anyone thought about the prospect of winning (or losing) our North Division title (yeah, that means no raising of another banner like last year - unless we win it all).

I want the North damnit!!!

If Wheeling wins in regulation time, then we'll only need one win to clinch a playoff spot. Elmira would have only 83 possible points (we already have 81) and we would win the tie breaker because we would have more wins.

Plus Elmira is so hateable

If Reading beats Johnstown, we would only need one win to clinch as well. Should Johnstown lose in OT or SO vs. the Royals, then we would still only need one regulation time win. Johnstown could take 2 out of the 3 against us and would have the same number of wins and points. We would win the tie breaker due to winning the season series vs. the Chiefs.

I am rooting for Wheeling today if for no other reason then that Elmira's last two games are against Dayton and Reading.

Again, I am rooting for 3 more wins on our end, and the other teams playing at .500, that way, we win our North Division title...........again!

This is too dang close

Buckeye, you hit the nail on the head on your rooting. I think we all would like to see the Clones win out and have a nice streak heading into playoffs.

We just got some major help from Reading. The Royals beat Johnstown 2-1 today.
