With Elmira beating Wheeling and Johnstown losing to Reading, the Cyclones are in excellent shape for a playoff berth.

The Cyclones official magic number is 3. If Wheeling doesn't win 2 out of their remaining 3 and the Cyclones lose all 3 vs. Johnstown, the Cyclones would still make the playoffs.

The Cyclones only need one win against Johnstown (regulation or OT/SO-doesn't matter) to clinch a playoff spot. If the Cyclones would win in OT/SO and lose the other two games in regulation, each team would have 83 points and 39 wins. The Cyclones would clinch over Johnstown because we would have won the season series. The season series is currently Cyclones 5-2-1 and Chiefs 3-5.

In order to finish first the Cyclones need help. If the Clones win out and Trenton goes 2-0-1, then the Cyclones would take first place due to having more wins.

To clinch second, the Cyclones need to win 2 out of 3. Even if Elmira wins both of their remaining two games, the Cyclones would take 2nd place by virtue of having more wins.

Thanks Reading. You made things a lot less tense.

Thanks Coach Weber... any wonder Reading got somewhat respectable after acquiring Gordon, McLeod and Sawatske ? Its all part of his plan!

Team-Points-Remaining Home (H) Away (A)

Trenton-82 (3): Wheeling (A), Reading (A), Wheeling (H)
Cincinnati-81 (3): Johnstown (H), Johnstown (H), Johnstown (H)
Elmira-81 (2): Reading (H), Dayton (H)
Johnstown-78 (3): Cincinnati (A), Cincinnati (A), Cincinnati (A)
Wheeling-78 (3): Trenton (H), Dayton (H), Trenton (A)

Elmira certainly has the easiest road to the playoffs, although Reading has been playing everyone tough lately.

Maybe Milwaukee is doing their part by sending "Juice" to Florida to help
us get to the Finals

Easy on Juice he is 3-0 with Florida but you can look at what Florida has, thats what we had last year so a good team can make a bad goalie look good but if we make it to the finals of the American Conferance and Juice is still with Florida dont think it will be the same Juice that we saw he has good players in front and that can help a goalie make his record better then he really his i think

The 'Clones are a LOOONNNNNGGGG way from seeing Florida. The win-a-game, lose-a-game mentality that has become so prevalent lately has got to change or they won't make it out of the first round. The tight point race shows this division is very much up for grabs, and really no one has capitalized on their opportunities to put things away.

Cloninator, I agree with you. Let's take care of business and get a playoff spot. From there, let's try to grab the title from Trenton with what little time left we have. Florida? Who's got time to worry about Florida when we need to get objective number uno squared away.

Hey all the rounds are now 7 games! We have to pray that we win the first game of each round with our win one then lose one philosphy. This way we win each series 4-3
