LAST YEAR I WAS AT READING FOR GAME 1 AND 2.....JEAN-MICHEL DAOUST WAS STILL WITH THE PENS FOR GAME 1 OF THE SERIES.BUT THE PENS SENT HIM BACK DOWN AND HE PLAYED FOR THE CYCLONES IN GAME 2.AND I THINK READING GOT THERE BEST PLAYER BACK FROM HERSHEY FOR GAME 2...SO IF WE GET GUYS BACK FROM THE AHL THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS SERIES UNLESS THE RULES HAVE CHANGED.
alright folks....the JM scenario did occur and i while i'm certain i read something somewhere about players not being eligible to play unless assigned by the start of a series i can't for the life of me seem to find it again. i'm probably remembering something from years past. so unless i can manage to find what i thought i read again it's play them if you got them....
sorry for the misinformation...

the only thing info regarding re-called players is:
Players who are on recall to the NHL or the AHL at the playoff roster deadline that a team wishes to have eligible to play must be named to the 23-man playoff roster.
that's all it says.
