I know. I should be so lucky but if it happened I am not sure which event I would attend.
Consecutive league championships, especially in the minors are very hard to come by. Your family member is likely to have another wedding down the road. Go to the hockey game
That's what I'm talking about. A true fan would have to put their own wedding on hold for a shot at a second consecutive Cup.
You coming to the game tomorrow night Woodrow? |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

| My cousin's wedding celebration is during the Kelly Cup match. As far as I know it is casual. Most likely if it is in early afternoon, I'll be wearing my jersey. If it occurs during game time or if it starts after 5:30, I won't go if the Clones are playing. But I'm not worried, I want the Clones to take care of their business with Wheeling first. |

It was good to see you again this evening in WHL.
Was there a lynch mob going after Cashman after the game? |

I would hope Reid was harder on himself than any fan would have been. Very uncharacteristic night from him, and the lack of offense from the Nailers only magnified his mistakes.
I thought the Nailers played a decent defensive game (for the Nailers) and avoided bad turnovers for the most part, but boy that first goal was a tough one to swallow. The Cyclones made Wheeling pay in a big way for Cashman's bad decision.
Then the game-winner was created from all sorts of things: Incredible forechecking by the Cyclones, just refusing to let the Nailers get the puck; Wheeling's guys not being physical at all towards the end of the corner battle; a perfect pass from Lacasse to Scyroczynski; Ehgoetz undressing Cashman, and then burying the backhand. Hearing that pass hit Scyro's stick as I watched the Nailers new line coming onto the ice, I knew it could be the end, and it was. The execution was perfect, and the Nailers couldn't have done much worse in that situation.
Cincinnati was just smothering the Nailers offense before they could even get the blue line, and then when the Nailers did get in the zone, the 'Clones blocked shots, clogged the lanes, cleared rebounds, intercepted passes, everything they needed to do.
Lacasse made some huge saves, including one he trapped between his pads which looked all the world like it was going in 5-hole.
I can't imagine the Nailers are going to solve their offensive problem by tomorrow. If they can, I think this could still be a series, but I really think Darling will be the difference one way or the other. I feel the inevitable "Curtis Darling game" coming on. If it's going to happen, I hope it's tomorrow and not a Game 7.
Nice seeing you again too hrc. I'll make the trip to USBA next season for sure. I could probably talk hockey with you for three hours and head home wondering what the hell the score was of the game I just saw. Thanks for taking the time to hang out with people from the enemy camp.
If the Nailers can't go all the way, I'm definitely hoping your boys can. I kind of adopted the Cyclones as my team for last year's playoffs and was happy to see them go all the way. They've certainly got the coaching, and the heart to make a run again. |

| I managed to be off this time around, whereas on Saturday I had to work and am now kinda glad that I missed the game. But, I will be in attendance tonight, to see (hopefully) some game 7 heroics. |
