Hi everyone,

I just found this on the Enquirer website. Here's the link (assuming that the Enquirer still has the article): http://communitypress.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20090416/SPT/306020022.

I think the article kind of explains why he won't go to the AHL as an assistant coach. Been there done that.

I can't get that link to work but try this story. I am not sure if it is the same article or not:
http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20090416/SPT/904170383

This part is interesting and scary: "The two keep in touch, and Weber expects Horachek will become an NHL head coach. If that opportunity comes his way, Horachek said he happily would recommend Weber for a position on his squad."

Get Clones instead of Clunkers.

Thanks for the link. I find Weber's career path to be a fascinating subject. Ticket rep to KC champ. I think that the article will be of interest to hockey fans and non hockey fans alike.

Horachek's comment that he would happily recommend Weber for a position on his squad is outstanding. It's nice to know that he commands that much respect and loyalty from a potential NHL coach. Should Weber be promoted from the ECHL directly to the NHL, it would probably be the first time anyone had done so. I would be pleased as punch for him. I also would be more than overjoyed to think of the reaction of certain Weber nasayers whose predictions of failure for Desharnais and Dejardins have been proven to be completely off base.

Realistically, I think that the AHL will be his next level of employment. Next year more than likely.

"The only way David Desharnais will see an NHL game is if he buys a ticket".

"David Desharnais will be invisible during 5 on 5 hockey. IN THE AHL"

I read it and left a comment on it (averagefan). Very interesting article. I'm glad to see him getting some of the recognition he deserves.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

CincinnatiFan, that is the same article that I had. I don't expect any link to cincinnati.com to be correct at the time I post anything on this board.
