Horachek's comment that he would happily recommend Weber for a position on his squad is outstanding. It's nice to know that he commands that much respect and loyalty from a potential NHL coach. Should Weber be promoted from the ECHL directly to the NHL, it would probably be the first time anyone had done so. I would be pleased as punch for him. I also would be more than overjoyed to think of the reaction of certain Weber nasayers whose predictions of failure for Desharnais and Dejardins have been proven to be completely off base.
Realistically, I think that the AHL will be his next level of employment. Next year more than likely.
