The question that needs to be answered is which offense is going to show up. While Darling has been outstanding for Wheeling he has been beatable. Is our offense that lit him up for seven going to show up or will it be the snakebit crew we saw in game 1, 2 and 6 ?
Another big question will be confidence which unfortunately falls heavily in Wheeling's favor.
I look for a lot of traffic in front and Coach Weber's "greasy goals".
I see Nie in goal, a fast start and a 5-3 win. |

I too, would have to go with Loic. There is nothing more determined than a goalie that had a bad night!!! ******************* Have to say that I do give a lot of credit to the Nailers. They first came into Cincinnati with a lot to prove of why they deserved to be in the playoffs and they came with their A+ game and ready. Our Cyclones were not either ready mentally or physically for those games (I personnaly go with mentally). The Cyclones they shook off whatever is was and took three from the Nailers on their home ice. Game 6 for the Nailers was do or die and they came out totally ready to play. For some unbeknown reason...........the Cyclones were not ready.
It is all going to come down to one game, Game 7!!! And both teams are going to be ready and neither team is going to want to face elimination.
As far as the refs and linesmen we have had through these playoffs.......I can not find total fault with them; but niether can I hold them without cause at their ineptitude in officiating. My biggest concern is that there will be some serious injury caused by their lack of knowledge and skills in reffing these games. |

| I don't think it matters...they are both good. I just wonder if the refs are going to make all the bad call they made last night. |

One thing is certain-one team is going home kicking themselves in the butt. Will it be the Cyclones for losing 4 home games or Wheeling for losing three home games. We missed Saturday but will be there Monday night. |

Well, being the Cyclones have scored a whopping two goals in three home games does not make me overwhelmed with confidence no matter who is in goal.
I reckon I would lean towards Nie, but if the home team does not get to Darling early it won't matter if they put a piece of 4 by 8 foot plywood in front of the net. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

Seems some nailer fans believe this. Come on, Weber isn't stupid. He knows the rules and such. Is it possible their broadcaster was joking and they are just dumb enough to believe it?
From the article "And believe it or not, Nailers play-by-play man Bob Rotruck reported that Cincinnati actually petitioned the ECHL to give home-ice advantage to Wheeling and move Game Seven to WesBanco Arena, but the request was denied."
John Hamel was laughing during one of the broadcasts from Wheeling last week because Weber apparently spewed a bunch of nonsense that the Wheeling announcer swallowed hook line and sinker. I understand the announcer was announcing Nie in net because Weber had said Lacosse was injured and Lacosse was in the net the entire time. Apparently the Wheeling announcer can't tell when Weber is joking.
This is off the immediate subject but Trenton just won in their second overtime to force their series into a Tuesday game 7.

I will not be at the game Monday because I have had tickets to see one of my favorite bands for a few months now, so I'm not missing that.
Hopefully everything goes better, I will be praying and hoping. |

Really? Even after scoring 2 goals in 3 games? |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I believe the unpredictable personality of this team will prevail. I also look for Van Guilder to score his first of the playoffs tonight.

Since the goal is 4x6, a 4x8 sheet of plywood would be great! Lets even cut some puck sized notches in the bottom and if they score well give'em a car! |

In the spirit of "Slap Shot" lets go out and play possibly the last game as "old time Hockey".This I mean lets go out and quit playing around slapping sticks and trying to drive the Wheeling player through the glass each time and play hockey. If Justin can only fight, put in someone who can skate a full 1:30 at a time and take our chances with the refs.Last year we played clean and got the calls. This year we are deemed a physical team and so the calls go against us.Look what Nie did the last game of the season.I'll take either one but just play hockey and play your zones.Let's play SMART hockey! |

Does anyone have a Nailers Sweater that I can wear tonight? Yes really, I'm working on the theory that if we all boo the Cyclones when they come out, they will feel like they are on the road :-P I'm willing to do anything tonight to continue the hockey season in Cincinnati...I'll buy a sweater for every team that we play from here on out if I have to!
We have to come up with a way to make them believe that they are @ WesBanco instead of USBANK :)
