I think BW3's are slightly larger than Slugger's, a small sports bar connected to an entertainment complex. And not to mention I think a few more people come out to UFC events than Cyclones (unfortunately). If they didn't care they wouldn't provide the game for the fans. And if the lack of audio was such a big deal as it is to you, the fans wouldn't be showing up, but they do, and keep coming back. It's just not that important to some people. As far as I know, they only have the capability to stream the game from the one TV, and it's a sports bar. You're going to have to try to listen to the game over a bar nearby as well as the other TVs which have other hockey, Reds, etc.

lol.

A UFC fight costs probably over $20 to get on PPV. A Cyclones game on B2 is like less than $10. 20-30 people eating food or getting a drink easily pay for $10. I can see how you are trying to defend this little sports bar but it's all about common sense.

If another bar down the road had the game on with sound, along with 3 TVs I'm sure you wouldn't be going to Sluggers. The only reason why all of the people go there is because it's the only bar that even shows it.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to split a video signal from a computer to more than one TV.

I appreciate Sluggers carrying the games and I generally eat there figuring that pays for my "ticket to the game". That said, I am the crazy fan with the boom box so you know how I feel about having no audio and I would seriously need to consider changing bars if somebody else would provide audio I could hear. I am hopeful that somebody at Sluggers will take the hint and hook up the audio next year because otherwise somebody could steal my business.

part of it is a logistics issue. the computer at sluggers is connected to several tv's but the problem is that the big screen that they show the game on is, to my knowledge, just a monitor hooked to a satellite or internet feed, it does not have speakers. the speakers in sluggers are connected to the tv over the bar which is not hooked to the internet. the small tv's have sound but it can't be turned up loud enough to hear.

there are a few solutions, but the only one that does not involve rewiring the tv's is to have a remote speaker system hooked up to the tv, which is what i believe they have done in the past....

I watched last Fridays game vs Elmira at a bar called Scorecard or Scoreboard or something over on the west side of town on Shady Lane. At one point they had two tvs going for it. They had the Hammer on the audio.

Maybe some. I go there to watch the game and have a good time socializing with friends and fellow fans. We don't all need the sound like yourself. That's why I go. If I was so uptight about sound and everything else being an issue, I would just watch it from home with my passcode. I don't need it to be perfect, and really sound isn't even significant to me. Sure I love to hear PBP, but if I can watch the game, I'm good.

BTW - Send your tech updates to Slugger's, not me. I'm not putting it on.

Hey Randy, If you don't like it then don't go
simple as that. Stay at home and buy it yourself
and stop crying. Sluggers don't even have to put
the game on but they do and they don't charge you a thing
for doing it. So do us all a favor and STFU.

Agreed.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Jim....we only had, what, you, DP, my gf and the boys up for that one WHL game, and that was a great time.........with NO SOUND.

Although you cheated with your lil hand-held radio and got a 3-5 second jump on each goal, we didnt have many there and still had a great time at Sluggers....

I appreciate what they do to put the games on and throw the "parties" and a added bonus is that you can go skate in between periods, or play with your children in the game area...

The atmosphere is great, and not to chaotic, so I am willing to scarfice SOUND for having a FUN NIGHT OUT.

I dont think people should knock on Sluggers just because they dont have sound. Like many of you have said, if you dont like it, dont go. Its that simple.....

End of topic, LETS SWEEP THESE CROCODILE-HUNTER KILLING STINGRAYS and get to another Kelly Cup.
