| I would like to give me input on Ryan Nie from game one. Nie was pulled after he gave up the four goal. He had a nice yelling match with the officials then he got off the ice. When he came off the ice he was mad (like any other goalie would when they get pulled from a game) and started banging his stick against the walls. He did not start cussing until he got all the way into the tunnel near the locker room. The police officer that was standing in the tunnel want down the tunnel and started yelling at Nie because he was banging his stick and cussing. The officer was out of line at that point. The officer should have never went down and started yelling at Ryan. The officer should have gotten a player to get Burke to calm him down. The officer handled that whole situation wrong from the very beginning. The officer is in the tunnel to make sure fans do not get to out of line. The officer is not responsible for the players, the coaching staff and other Cyclones staff is responsible for the players. The officer was unprofessional. Once Nie was calmed down enough he came and sit in the tunnel by the glass. At this point the fans were still yelling at Nie and the police officer was just standing their laughing and was not doing nothing about it. The police officer was just plain unprofessional. Things calmed down for the third period. The last five minutes or so of the game Nie was talking to Mike Quesnele and Jacob Dietrich. Nie was not talking smack to the fans. Jacob got Nie's attention for the picture by the way. That is what happened. |

The officer was unprofessional for doing his job and making sure the facility was not being vandalized by a player? The cops job is to ensure the safety of everyone there. I notice you failed to mention that Nie pointed his stick at a fan on his way up the tunnel which is what cause the cop to react in the 1st place. While walking out he told me to go F**K Myself, but I am sure you missed that part too.
Very selective memory on what happened on your part. |

All the stuff said about Nie is true. He did smash a stick, a door and whatever else. But I think he was just pissed off b/c of the way the game went. Nie is a super nice guy off the ice and I think he was just having a bad hockey night. Now for JJ i have only seen him in a bad mood 1 time off the ice and that was b/c of a jacka$$ fan not know when to leave the players alone after a rough night. And now b/c of this same fan we have to stand across the street after the games and try to talk with the players after games.
Where you at the game in South Carolina?
No but had ppl there texting my wife on what was going on and they was sitting right by the tunnel. |

Again,
the fact that he was pissed and cussed at me etc was not that big of a deal. I expect that from a player who just got yanked and I take it with a grain of salt. I thought it was expected from a fiery competetor. I think its comical that someone would be that one sided about what happened and try and paint it as he was an inoccent by stander. Also just for factual info, the lady in the canadians shirt was 3 seats from the isle and in the noise of the NCC she can hear a guy in the tunnel talking to people? I could barley hear him myself from the seat on the isle and leaning over. |

Thats right the officer was unprofessional. Nie was not going to vandalized anything. The definition of vandalize is to destroy or deface (public or private property) willfully or maliciously. Nie did not destroy of deface public or private property, so he did not vandalize anything. You are right I did leave out the fact that Nie pointed his stick at a fan but not so that the police officer needed to go back and yell at him. He never told you to F**K yourself, you are making that up. P.S. I don't have selective memory you do. |

He never cussed at anyone, like I said he did not cuss until he was down by the locker room. |

Ok well if yu think slamming a stick into a door is not destroying property let me swing by your car and ram my hockey stick into it 10 time or unitil it breaks in 3 pieces. No harm done there, thats not vandalism. And the cop never yelled at Nie, he asked him to calm down and not damage the facility. I'm still curious as to how you heard all this from the 3rd seat in when people on the isle had a hard time hearing over the fans applause when he got yanked. Super human ears? This is pointless, you believe what you want or your version of it, if that make it better for you. |

| Just curious, what exactly do u expect the cops to do when people are heckling a player? As long as they stay in thier seats and are not malicious what can he or any one do? He cant kick you out for laughing at the guy cuz he got benched or was being offered popcorn. |

This whole "he said...she said...he said" has gone far enough!!! What happened .....happened!! To be rehashed and rehashed does nothing but distort what happened! It is a known FACT that any group of witnesses to a SAME action/incident/occurance will all have varying views of what they saw and heard!!!!
That said, I do not doubt that Nie had 'issues' being pulled from the game. Goalies (it is said and known) are the most 'mental' of any hockey player on the ice. They take each goal personnally and either they shake it off and bear down or they let it build get under thier pads! |

I pretty much chalked it up to that. In the heat of a game you get mad and stuff happens, I guess my biggest thing was on the night of the 2nd game he was still being a jack ass. Either way I am not making a judgement on him as a person just sharing what happened etc.
To be honest I would want any player who gets yanked after a bad outing to be pissed off. That means he cares. I dont think he's a bad guy I just think he handled the situation poorly on day 2.
I wonder if he'd autograph my stick for me? LOL
I'm calling BS on you GBS...you're only on here posting to stir up crap...take it elsewhere |
