| This team we have is certainly capable of winning 4 in a row, I have yet to hear of a Stingray off game, we have yet to see the Stngrays get behind and what they might do, we have yet to see them expose mistakes. It's been said before that it seems like we are out of position at times because the Stingray goaltender is allowing HUGE rebounds, we need to get a crowd in from of either side of the nets. I was unable to see WED nights game because we had a dinner with Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell( Apollo astronauts) but we will be there on Friday in white...then maybe black if it starts looking like we might be off until October. I've not given up hope, none of us would have predicted this earlier in the season that we would have made it this far into the playoffs. For those of you who have not seen the Kelly cup, I would do so on Friday...so now is your chance. Lastly about getting this far, I felt early on that it would have been hard for us to even make the playoffs, I had Bummer fans emailing me pictures of a panic button...maybe they should have pressed it instead |

Whenever this season ends I will remember it as one of the most amazing in the 16 year history of the Cyclones. They were horrific the first half of the season but Chuck got rid of players he didn't think were doing the job and brought other guys in and they got the job done. Now we are back to the conference finals this season, it's been amazing. I hear a lot of the bandwagon fans saying the Cyclones suck and they're horrible because we're down in this series. Only one team out of 28 can win the cup and the same team isn't going to win every year, but that doesn't mean the other teams are horrible, except for Dayton . As a fan I want a good solid competitive team every year that will have a chance every year and plays hard every game win or lose. Since Chuck has been here thats exactly what we have had. You think of teams like the cyclones and south carolina and florida, alaska, as teams that are solid every year and have a chance at winning the cup, and realistically I think thats all a fan can expect. Obviously you wanna win every year, but it just isn't gonna happen.
That being said I look for the cyclones to win these next 2 games and make it interesting back in SC. |

| On another thread, I wasn't aware that teams actually HAVE rallied from 3 down to win...I had heard that NO team and ANY league had been able to accomplish this. After all that I have seen from this team I would beleive that they could do it. |

According to Hamel's press release (posted in another thread), five teams in hockey history have come back from 0-3 deficits and prevailed. Including the 1999 Orlando Solar Bears of which Chuck Weber was part. Well, he was a ticket rep at the time. But, he was still there!! LOL.
I hold out very little hope (almost none) for a series victory, but this team has come too far and worked too hard and demonstrated far too much character to have their season end via a dispiriting sweep. Sending the series back to SC would be outstanding regardless of the final outcome. I'd be thrilled with the moral victory that sending the series back to Charleston would provide at this point. |

We need to remember in the 2006-2007 season, we had a 3-1 lead on Dayton, and flopped on that, losing in game 7.
That is just one game off from the series we have (down 0-3).
I was waiting for some random, bandwagon fan(s) to jump on here after game 3 wednesday night and say "its all over," however, I have yet to see that, and Im happy that people (for the most part) have learned that this team is a come-from-behind, hard-nosed, never give up style of team, and that we have had more miracles than most teams can hope for in a lifetime.
This team continues to surprise everyone. Win, or lose, tomorrow, and the rest of this series....
I am happy, proud and grateful to be a Cincinnati Cyclones fan. |

Too bad it was a high stick goal that costed us the series. |

I have to be honest and say I don't expect us to win this series but yes it has been proven this team can win 4 straight and that this team can score against South Carolina. We have had one bad night from each goalie and one extremely close game. If our goalies can keep it under control the next 4 games and the rest of the team can manage to play defense we could still make it interesting.
Win or lose this weekend it has been a great ride and I thank Chuck Weber for another great season. |

We have got to stop playing from behind, our team needs to remember that the game starts at 7:35 and not...oh 8:35, by that time we are 2-3 goals behind. I would have to say that we are bound to see an off game from the Rays.

| Bags, it may be easier said than done. Alaska has home ice in the finals. But you never know what can happen in the playoffs. |

While I'm not throwing in the towel, regardless of the outcome I have nothing but pride and admiration for this team and organization. How many other teams in this city (and the ECHL for that matter) have accomplished over the last few years what the Cyclones have accomplished, and for little recognition in the media. Whether this team comes back, gets swept, or something in between, I am proud to be the official "Cloneinator" for the Cincinnati Cyclones!

| I'm happy with the season, my wish for this series though is at least win the next 2, make it interesting, make the Stingrays think, give them an Elmira game 2 sort of thing. watching this team we have watched bad losses and when we lose I have always felt that if we are going to lose then lets make the other team feel like they have actually played a hockey game. increase the hitting, make them alittle sore for that bus ride home. This is an interesting series in the fact that of wehat I have heard on the radio is that the Stingrays are not a POWER house if you will. They seem to be a complete team but in no means are we facing an overwehlming opponent. obviously if we win the next 2 then I would say that we would start seeing a different Stingray team...one that is trying not to lose...If we see that team then I would say it's anyones series.....I have Hope...little hope but I'm not pulling a plug yet. |

Actually, you lost games 5, 6 and 7.
Congratulations on how far you got this year. As opposed to another post on here, South Carolina IS a powerhouse team. They consistently win, have an excellent attendance record, and have won the ECHL playoffs two times.
See ya in 2010-2011, hopefully. |

| Funny how after we lose Cincinnati North, or Columbus south (Dayton) chimes in. Look The Rays were no less a powerhouse than we were using your rational. The Rays gave us plenty of oportunities to make this series more interesting than it was and we didn't capitalize. We didn't get the bounces our way, thats the way it is. I stand by my original post in the fact that we didn't go up against a Golith here, and though I will completely admit we were swept and very little worked. The Rays had weaknesses, they got caught in more than a few peudo- odd man rushes and their goaltender gave up HUGE rebounds. Sure using your rational nearly every team in the ECHL is a powerhouse, especially the final four....well, NOT every team. |

Since you are so big into corrections, SC is NOT a powerhouse team. They had 91 points on the year. They are good, but last year's Cyclones team-which was a powerhouse-would have taken them easily. The Cyclones played with them for 3 of the 4 games and we could hardly be described as that good this past season. A powerhouse wouldn't have been involved in 3 one goal games (w/out ENG's) with us.
SC's attendance isn't as good as they say it is. Not as blantantly ridiculous as Dayton's exagerration, but big. The playoff games in the Conf. Finals round in SC had about 2,000 per game; not the listed 2800 average. Regular season numbers are juiced significantly according to people I know who have seen games there.
We might be seeing you on road trips to Hara to watch IHL hockey. The Bombers are a lost cause. They won't be resurrected; they are a financial disaster. Check for an announcement on Monday regarding future hockey in Dayton. |
