I think its awesome that they sold out the arena. I wish every team in the country could sell out every game, reality is it does not happen. The more people that go see the games the better, because they are really good games.
As far as attendance goes, harp on that all you want guys, its OK. If/when they hand the cup to the winner ( US or Alaska ) you can rest assured they wont have a clause in there about attendance.
Second thing to consider is the vast amount of things there are to do in Charleston during the season. With the number of beaches, the minor league baseball team that is usually competetive, CofC, CSU, etc etc etc the population is divided as to where they go for thier entertainment. Its not a town that lives by Hockey , oh well so what. That doesnt change the fact that should they win they will be the ONLY team in ECHL history to win 3 Kelly Cups.
I post on a bunch of boards, but you guys are the ones that get all riled up about some friendly trash talking.

"Broken" You cannot fathom the amount of trash talk that we Cyclones fans can endure, unfortunatly you have no clue to the dynamics of this city with at one time or another we had 2 teams with 2 groups of fans going back and forth with more than enough friendly and unfriendly trash talk, so I can assure you....we are more than able to handle ANY trash talk you can dish out, Second, are we riled up...maybe because I cannot imagine why a Rays fan would be interested in trash talking with a teams fans that you guys disposed of weeks ago? kinda seems meaningless, that's what we are riled up about, I'm not certain we deserve it. if there is sooooomuch to do in Charleston, go out and do something more productive than troll up reaction from fans that have certainly moved on to other things, we are on "next year" mode keeping and eye on transactions and what not,
really most of us could care less what happens, remember the series is NOT over yet, we know what you can dish, but how much can you take? I would say game 6 going back to a sold out Aces arena with a heartbreaking mediocure attended OT loss in a cup winning game at home, and a valuable player on the IR with his mug wired shut, sounds like the pressure is certainly up...huh? |

| No pressure here, we've won in thier house before. I guess you guys just take it waaaaay to personal. The guys that I talk smack with in Florida and Charlotte take it for what it is, good natured ribbing and we go back and forth. Either way best of luck next year. |

| It would be good natured fun in the event that we were still playing one another, however we are not, most of us have moved on and in the context, it appears only as rubbing salt in healing wounds, nothing more nothing less....lastly, pressure is most certainly up...it appears to be your series to lose...come on if the Rays cannot keep their heads in a game that would have most assuredly had them skating the cup around YOUR arena...and....were flying again....one more thing, I would expect your ribbing of the Everblades and the Checkers came during your series with them...totally different. It's truly meaningless to trash talk with a team fans you sent packing already....just my $.02 |

| Alaska holds on...3-2 Series tied 3-3. Its all up to game 7. Sounds like Mr. Stick is counting his chickens before they are hatched. |

I did??? Really if you look at my posts earlier it said IF/WHEN they hand out the Cup. I didnt specify to who.
HUGE loss last night in what was a poorly played game by SC with a dramatic finish. Game 7 winner takes it all tonight! GO RAYS!

Are you running for office? , STAND BEHIND YOUR TEAM!!! You have to have confidence in your team until the series is over. No one likes a waffler, especially on this board. TAKE A STAND!
Now that I have said that I feel the best team is a toss-up at this point. Can Alaska put one more together or will SC have enough left?
I just find it funny that Mr. Stick comes on here to comment. I don't mind; just find interesting that he comes to us to (gloat) comment. Where were you last year?
In any case, whats the prediction for tonight? To me the biggest question is who is in goal. Boutin seems to be the better goalie but the Stingrays have a well known policy of rotation with Riemer after a loss. Now that all the chips are down who starts?
For the first time in the series I think Alaska has the turned the tide. I am still (slightly) pulling for SC but I believe the 'Rays are going to have one hell of a long flight home. |

| Ok, Mr. Stick, if the pressure wasn't on game 5 when you could have put this series away, in front of your home fans, but blew it........the pressure apparently wasn't on last night....because, hey you've won there before right? just like you said........what about now? any pressure now? game 7, in front of a sellout crowd, Aces players know they can skate the cup in front of their fans, what about now Mr. Stick, any pressure now? |

| No pressure on me, but I'm sure the Rays have some pressure. One could argue the pressure is just as bad on Alaska to win on home ice. You know the same pressure you said we were under? I guess that doesnt work both ways if it doesnt support YOUR argument???? |

I will root for the RAYS regardless, thats never a question, but I have not nor have I ever discredited the oppositions ability to win. I think our coach made an error is starting Boutin over Reimer in this game. Reimer was phenominal in the 3-2 game 5 loss and has been steller between the pipes. I like our chances alot if he is in goal tonight, which going by what Bednar has done he should be. He swaps after every loss...kinda weird to me but anyway thats a whole other topic. |
