I had a chance to talk to SC's coach Jared Bednar when I was in SC during the Conf. Finals and he is a very nice guy and an engaging conversationalist. I also was treated very well by the fans who I met at the tailgate. I had no choice but to root for the Stingrays as a result of these experiences.
Broken Stickhead almost made an Aces fan out of me. |

Congratulations to South Carolina! I was screaming for them to lose this series at some point but they showed me something in the Alaska series that made me take notice.
To coin an old phrase, to be the man you have to beat the man... and not only did SC do that by SWEEPING the defending champion (us), they beat two teams in Florida and Alaska who many predicted would be here to begin with... therefore, Stingrays, please accept my apology for doubting you guys... congratulations, and I pass the torch to you... but make no mistake, we will be back in full force ready to take the cup back from your care! |

After we won last year,the fact that no one had ever repeated was our goal for the
year.Funny thing about that was 3 of the 4 final four teams made it back this year.
Only Alaska replacing Utah was changed. Then the two finalists (Cyclones and Wranglers)
were both knocked out in the semi-finals.My hope the pride we had with the cup this
year will go to the South Carolina fans for this following year. It was extra special
for us having the chance to win it in front of our fans.Take good care of it-we plan to
bring it back to Cincinnati for the 2010-2011 season.
As for GBS,maybe I let you get under my skin but everyone knows I HATE opposing fans
posting here just to stir things up.Our history for this franchise has had many ups
and downs. Our attendance is growing,signs of some respect from our local media has
happened and this site is our holy ground to be in.Please respect that and enjoy the
cup like we have.Many people feel minor league hockey is minor-we feel proud of our
team as much as if it was a NHL team. |

To the cyclones fans.
1. I think you guys are AWESOME! PERIOD. You guys have so much love for your team that its unreal. Many cities could only hope to have fans like you guys. They should be proud.
2. I wasnt on here to stir things up in a negative way. Just some good natured smack talk. For those who took it as more than that, my apologies to you.
3.I look forward to next year and some match ups with you guys. Offer still stands to host a tailgate for you guys here in Charleston! |

| Thanks GBS. I think I did let you under my skin since SC went to the finals. Your smack talk sounded like nails on a blackboard. Oh well. But the season is over for everyone. I heard that we maybe heading south for a few times, wouldn't it be nice to play each other in the regular season? |
