It's a sad day for long time Bomber fans.
Even though the writing had been on the wall for years, it still is hard to believe that the Bombers are no more.
Costa Papista is such a wonderfully nice guy. It truly is a shame that he was not able to make a go of it with his franchise. He took his best shot and it wasn't good enough. Which is the norm for minor league hockey. It is a brutal business. Thank goodness that men like Papista are willing to take the huge and often unsuccessful risks to provide us hockey fans with the sport we all cherish. My hat is off to him for his devotion to his franchise. |
