TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Walleye announced that they will play a preseason game against the Cincinnati Cyclones on Oct. 10 at Tam-O-Shanter in Sylvania, Ohio and against the Port Huron Icehawks of the International Hockey League on Oct. 11 at the Team Toledo Ice House.
The ECHL returns to Toledo following a two-year absence which allowed construction of the new state-of-the-art Lucas County Downtown Arena. The Walleye, who are projecting over 2,000 season tickets, will open the regular season on Oct. 16 when they host the Florida Everblades at the 7,500-seat facility.
