CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have placed rookie forward Felix Petit on waivers. The move comes as the Cyclones approach the ECHL's opening night roster deadline of Wednesday (Oct. 14).

The Cyclones currently have 24 players in camp and will prepare for their season opening game on Friday night (Oct. 16) at Elmira. The game will be carried on 1530-AM The Sports Animal with a 7pm air time. More cuts are expected in the days ahead.

Tickets for the 2009-10 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. The Cyclones Sales Department can be reached at 513-421-PUCK, extension 3. The Cyclones open the season at Elmira on Friday, October 16 and after three road games, host their home opener at U.S. Bank Arena against Wheeling on Saturday, October 24 at 7:30pm. There will be a special divisional championship banner raising ceremony prior to that game.

Milwaukee certainly has a huge presence on this team so because of the 2 way AHL ECHL contract many cuts Petit, Woll, and Krug for example are probably because we have a huge affiliate presence. This is the downside of having 2 affiliates good players have to be released
