I spoke with kevin, aka HECKLERFROMHELL, yesterday.
He wanted me to say hello to all. Hello
He made it through boot camp. He got to shoot 50 caliber machine guns and got to blow things up with hand grenades and other ordinance. He claims that the physical part of boot camp was nothing. He's probably lying. He really enjoyed his boot camp instructors as well.
Kevin is now off to Baltimore for his training. He will be trained in the operation, maintenance and repair of audio/video equipment for the army's news operations.
He will be in town over Christmas and plans to attend the game on Dec. 26th.

Thanks Joe for the update on Kevin (HFH). I've been thinking about him & wondering how it was going for him. :-) |
Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

Thanks for writing that Joe. Yeah folks, I am done with Basic Combat Training and yeah, the physical part of it was really easy. The hardest part was dealing with idiots and not being able to kick them in the a$$. We got to do a lot of fun stuff in the past 12 weeks, shooting machine guns, bazookas and of course my M-16. The Drill Sergeants did like my BIG voice. I used it quite a lot. I miss doing the siren and of course the "Safety Dance".
I got home last night about 9 pm and was dying to go to the game to see everyone. Unfortunately for you all, I had a family at home waiting for me. I leave on Sunday at 2 pm for Baltimore, MD. I am supposed to be home for Christmas and plan on attending the Dec 26 game. After that, I may not be home till sometime in June. I wish everyone the best, thanks for the thoughts and prayers, and always....

There were a bunch of guys sitting in front of us asking each other, Where is 666? where is the Heckler?! They were suprised to hear where you were, but they thought that was awesome! Keep doing what you're doing and enjoy every minute of it! |

I'm not sure if anyone would agree or even like this idea. Could we as a group chip in and purchase one Camo jerseys that will be auctioned off after the Military Appreciation Night game on January 16th (subject to change) for Kevin (HFH)?
There is nothing more fearsome than a hockey fan. |
Cyclones hockey. A championship caliber team in a city of losers. |
