Cyclones announced 10,300 but the game sheet says 10,920. Great job by the Cyclones leading up to the game with their marketing efforts with the $1 beers, hotdogs and pizza promotion. Seemed like old times with the original logo and sweater colors on the ice and 10,000-plus in the stands. |

Just saw the highlights of the game on youtube. I really like those sweaters. |

Lord, Friday night was a sight to see. I love huge crowds, but like others have said, it makes navigating the concourse a pain in the you-know-what... I usually don't eat at the arena during games so that much doesn't really bother me. I just ran up during intermissions to hit the restroom and refill my water bottle at the drinking fountain (I know, I'm a cheapie). But it was great to see them taking off the tarps!
I also love love love the throwback jerseys. I really wasn't planning on getting one at the auction, but as soon as they came out for practice, my attention was grabbed. Throughout the whole game I was debating on getting one. Then at the auction, I just had one of those moments where I was like, well, F it. Why not? LOL And the fact that I got Bryan Leitch's jersey suits me just fine because he's pretty tall and I can wear the thing like a dress. LOL Awesome... |
