Former Cyclones center David Desharnais is so cold right now you can see his teeth chattering when he gets checked into the glass.
The "Diminutive One" began the season hotter than a fox in a forest fire, scoring 11 goals in his first 16 games with Hamilton. Since then, he's managed to score a mere three goals in his last 14 games, one goal in his last 11 games and has failed to lite the lamp over his last six.
The slumping Desharnais is expected to garner little to no interest from NHL teams when he becomes a free agent July 1, 2010.

| Since December 4 in 21 games Desharnais has 9 goals and 18 assists for 27 points. When Desharnais was with the Cyclones he wasnt known much of a goal scorer, but as an assist man, 77 assist and 29 goals Desharnais holds the ECHL assist record in consecutive games (20) for (30) assists, he is also 4th in ECHL history in terms of consecutive points streak, 49 pts in 27 games. Currently Desharnais is on a 5 game point streak and has recorded a point or more in all but 5 games this year never going 2 games without a point. |

Even though we all know why you bother to post, im going to go feed the troll anyway.
Yes, he only has 3 goals over his last 14 games, but he also has 15 assists.
Season line is 30 games, 14-24-38. Certainly no NHL team would bother to sign a guy with those stats to a 2 way deal. I mean who wants to have a center who can light the lamp when needed, but still be an excellent dish man as the position generally dictates. |

PATHETIC, JUST PATHETIC.....In fact you have reached depths of pathetic that even local mediocure amusement parks should smell the stentch down the hallways......so pathetic that I have this vision of you sitting at a computer screen thinking up your next greatest post while your family is yelling at you because your about to miss some significant family function, like a wedding, graduation or Christmas....... they finally give up on you and go by themselves. |

The ICE COLD David Desharnais notched 2 assists Friday night.
This continues his horrific slump through the last 6 games. His 10 points (all assists) during this dry spell would project to an absolutely pathetic 133 point over the AHL's full season (80 games).
The equally-frozen Cedric Desjardins gave up an absolutely unacceptable one goal last night as well. His 1.77 goals against average, while still best in the league, is embarrassingly high and a possible return to Cincinnati of the ECHL is being considered by Hamilton/Montreal management.
When asked about their slumps, both Desharnais and Desjardins were able to pinpoint the exact cause of their shoddy play. Said Desarnais, "What's the point in even trying? Donnie hockie has decided that I'll never play again in the NHL, so what's the use?".
Desjardins mirrored DD's sentiments. "Last season when I read the Heckler's Grove website, it was made abundantly clear to me by bonnie schlockie that I lacked the essentials to play even in the AHL. The NHL is not even a remote possibility for me. Even I know that no level of high performance can overcome a negative appraisal of the world's leading hockey expert".
Both Desharnais and Desjardins remain on suicide watch.

| In other breaking news, David Desharnais is still not playing in the NHL, and is on pace for 0 career NHL points. |

I know how hard it is for some people to stay on topic, but here, let me lead you back to it.
My point is, that even if there WAS a Cincinnati AHL team, with win totals and attendance figures, David Desharnais' first point against it would be one more than he is on pace to score in the National Hockey League. |

It would be WERE.
Just a friendly correction of grammar.
I'm curious. How many times did you see Desharnais play when he was with the Cyclones? Have you seen him play in the AHL? If so, when and how many times? |
