For sure its nice for the three of us to be playing together, explained Desharnais, who earned third star status for his afternoons work. We know where each other will be on the ice and were already on the same page. Its a lot less intimidating and we can just focus on doing the things that got us here.

Playing on the fourth line isnt necessarily a role were used to. We know our job is to create some momentum and to keep the puck out of our zone for as long as possible, continued Desharnais. Were taking it one shift at a time and getting more comfortable every time were out there. Hopefully we can keep it going tomorrow.

There with Desharnais every step of the way, making his NHL debut with five shots on goal, Trotter was still on cloud nine well after the game.

"It gives you confidence, but it's only one game," said Desharnais, a 5-foot-7 dynamo who was playing in only his second NHL game. Things can change in a hurry. There's one guy in the stands and it could be our turn if we're not playing good." The guy in the stands was healthy scratch Matt D'Agostini, whose stock has fallen this season. Given the solid performance of the three newcomers, there's no reason coach Jacques Martin will make any lineup changes for this afternoon's game against the slumping Boston Bruins.

Desharnais said he felt more comfortable than he did in his NHL debut back on Nov. 25 in Pittsburgh.

Good stories. The Cyclones should write an article for their website with links to all the stories.

I've been hammering you on everything else, but I'll give credit where credit is due.

This should be a "no brainer" for the Clones.

They could also arrange for Desharnais to do a phone-in interview with Lance McAlister and Andy Furman early this week. John Hamel could also tape an interview with Desharnais to play during the intermission of an upcoming game. The only thing any of these ideas require is effort.
