Where is Robert Mayer? According to last nights scoresheet from Hamilton Curtis Sanford was the backup, not Robert Mayer. (BTW, those who think our attendance sucks, check out Hamilton's last night, OUCH!) I haven't seen the ECHL's or AHL's transactions for today so he may be on his way or may be the practice goalie for Hamilton. Hopefully the former and not the latter. |

Box score from hamilton's last game. Notice that Mayer did not dress and ride the bench behind Ceddy. Maybe a good sign for us. Question is if he did not play in Hamilton will he be rusty when and if he returns here.

Well, you'd have to be kind of crazy to go away from Smith right now, but it sure would be nice to have Mayer on the bench.
But yeah, if he hasn't played the entire time he's been in Hamilton he will be rusty.

My feelings exactly. The ability to put someone in who can save a game is an advantage vs. an EBUG that can only take over if injuries occur.
I'm sure Mayer got more than a few shots in practice in addition to his limited game time. The experience can only make him better. |
