Though Syroczynski didn't net a game-winning goal, he keyed the Fort Wayne power play with six goals and nine points as the Komets went 15 for 53 with the man-advantage, including 9 of 21 in the five-game Finals series. Boy that would have been handy this year!!
Syro's skating deficiencies and lack of physical play aside, he's a large body with a scoring touch. There is no doubt that he would have been very helpful to our power play.
In the IHL, he's MVP-type material. He scored 30 goals in 48 games with Fort Wayne this year. Over a 76 game IHL season, Syro was on pace to score 48 goals. He was in the AHL with Norfolk for 30 games as well (6g 4a).

"David Desharnais will be invisible during 5 on 5 hockey. IN THE AHL" --donnie hockey
Is the IHL going to be a going concern next year? Muskegon is gone, Port Huron is questionable and Dayton is looking for investors. At some point Ft.Wayne is going to have to step up to the ECHL or step down to the CHL. Is a league of four really a league?
Congrats to Matt. Its always nice to see a former Cyclone get his due.
