some of you older Cyclone's fan's may recall John Wiedeman, former broadcaster for the clone's. For the past 3 year's he has worked for the Blackhawk's. John is one of the best play by play voice's in hockey. You can listen to the Stanley Cup games on WGN radio and hear John. {internet of course} So you might say somebody from the clone's has made it to the Stanley Cup final's. this might have been in alumni but oh well.
It's fun to see all the new posters here. My book for "alumni club" is anyone who played or worked for the team who is still in the game or sometimes in the news. From broadcasters moving up to even mascots moving up, it's always fun to to read about them. Our hope is to see every player move up to the AHL and then the AHL fans hope to see all those players move up to the NHL.
I was just about to post the same topic but you beat me to it. Here's the link to WGN radio http://www.wgnradio.com/about/listen/ John is a great guy, and quite honestly one of the best play by play guys I've ever heard.
For those of you who didn't know, John has a another big hockey connection...He's married to Kelly O'Leary who is a former All-World defenseman for the USA women's team.
Good luck John, and Go HAWKS! (at least for this series)
