The Greenville CycloneCheckers are (not surprisingly) currently the top team in the ECHL. They currently have 12 points on our 'clones while playing in a tougher division. ~20 more goals scored and ~20 fewer goals against in the same amount of games.

I always knew Weber was time limited given his success, but I figured Stork would step into those shoes and we wouldn't miss a beat. I think if Weber gets an AHL job sooner this past summer this is exactly what would have happened.

I just can't help but think what's happening down south should be happening here. Those guys are kicking *** and takin' names.
We absolutely aren't.

Yup, Stork waited a while, but cant blame him for passing up the opportunity. Dov has been lights out, too bad he isnt back with the Cyclones.

Voakes is up at the top of the charts in scoring too.
I don't think we ever saw his full potential here due to injury, but I had a feeling he'd be a great player at this level.

They have some nice talent down there, especially given the volume of their roster that is former Cyclones and Checkers players, but I think we have as much or more here.
I'd be willing to betcha watching those guys play is A LOT like watching the Cyclones of the past 4 years, if not a mirror image.

All this is true, but as I like to say, things are what they are. I think its quite possible we may just have to accept the fact this will be a mediocre hockey team this year. I don't fault anyone for that. As was previously pointed out, everything evolved so late here with the departure of Coach Weber it seemed we were behind the eight ball pretty quickly.

I'm not throwing in the towel by any means, but I am just not going to over-expect this season.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

Greenville will win the Cup this year to further the agony of the people of Johnstown PA. I noticed the attendance in Greenville is near the bottom of the league, how long will they last this time?
