Our organization has been REALLY good over the last few years at getting sweaters ready on short notice. CPZ will be out there tonight.
As far as the defensive improvements, on paper CPZ looks strong this year via a solid +/-. But as I noted before that can sometimes be an inflated (or deflated) number based on who you are playing with.
The bottom line here seems to be that most (all?) of us hated to see Minella go. BUT, we all would probably also agree that this is a team that needed some changes and improvements. So... Let's see if it's the right move.
If CPZ boosts the scoring and one of the other new guys can step into Minella's board pounding role it could work out well for us. We can only hope.
An accurate hockey rule of thumb is that it is much easier to find a banging scrapper than a scorer. If that holds true we came out on the better end of the deal. At least in the short term.

It will all depend on work ethic. CPZ's been much better defensively this season, not just based on his +/-. If he comes to the Cyclones wanting to show the Penguins he wants it bad enough, he'll be great for you guys.
