Former Cincinnati Cyclones center David Desharnais scored a power play goal and added an assist to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-0 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Desharnais, who led the Cyclones and ECHL in scoring in 2007-08 with 106 points (29 goals, 77 assists) in 68 games, extended his point streak to three games (two goals, four assists). One of the smallest players in the NHL at 5-foot-7, Desharnais has recorded 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 18 games since being recalled December 31 from Hamilton of the American Hockey League.
