| Wow--I don't understand this at all. He is an offensive threat from the blue line and has shown that with six goals in 16 games here. Rochester has three games left in the season this weekend and is out of the playoffs!!!. Chuck--why oh why? |

dbc...
You need to remember that the AHL team comes first no matter if they are in a position for the playoffs or not. We are a farm team for them, not the other way around.
Wish people would understand that instead of complaining. |

I reckon that's why Readings affiliates dropped several players onto their roster for the playoff run, just like they did last year. Other AHL teams do the same for their affiliates. Just look at the daily transaction reports.
I think DBC makes a valid point, and I am aware we are a farm team for the AHL. I wouldn't have an issue with Milwaukee calling players up if they were needed...that is the way it should be with them in the AHL playoffs. |

Yep, if Rochester needs/wants him they can have him. It's their right and best for him.
That said, when Milwaukee does that Milwaukee thing and calls guys up but doesn't give them any ice time... That kind of pisses me off as a fan.

| Thanks for the refreshed course on affiliates. Look at my last sentence though. The question I asked originally was not IF they could recall him but WHY they did. If I am Florida/Rochester I have to ask what is better for his development--being the spare defenseman playing a shift here and there in meaningless games in the AHL or playing on a regular shift in a playoff series here. They obviously thought the former and that what is surprised me. especially as was pointed out, Providence sent players down to Reading for the playoff experience as did many other non playoff teams with their ECHL affiliates. |

| As far as the affiliates go, are there multi-year contracts or are they year by year deals? If the latter, hopefully we can get new affiliates who actually send some guys down rather than taking and not giving. I understand we are at the bottom of the ladder as far as transactions go, but come on! |
