| What defense? It looks like they are afraid to check anyone and instead of trying to make scoring opportunities they're waiting for something to open. |

Both teams looked like they both needed some work aspecially on the penalty kill. As for the game itself, at least we got a point out of it. |

| Gajewski kept us in the game. He came up with a lot of nice saves but couldn't help the 3-on-1 breakaway given up in OT nor all the stupid penalties by Grimaldi in the first period. |

actually goal posts can't make saves because those shots aren't technically on net. if they were on net they would have either gone in or required the goalie to stop them.
the 21 shots that we registered was closer to 15 to 18. the datyton score keeper was being very liberal with the shot count. credit is only supposed to be given when the puck is on net. we shot several wide of the net that got counted. we also had a few centering passes that brown deflected and were considered shots and shouldn't have.
also we got screwed out of about 25secs of 5 on 3 PP time in the second period. a dayton player took a delay of game call (which according to the new rules was correct) while dayton already had 2 on the box. that players time does not start until the 1st penalty expires. we scored and the score board showed the 1st dayton penalty at just under a minute, and the second penalty at 1:25. they deleted the 1st penalty and then rather than putting the 2 minutes for delay of game up they ran the 1:25 down to 57secs, then put the 2minutes up. i doubt it would have made a difference but have the score keeper kill 25secs certianly can helpt the pk unit. |

oh and someone needs to inform the vast majority of dayton fans how scoring works. yes, i realize we lost last night, but we are not 0-2 repeat...WE ARE NOT 0-2. since last nights game went into overtime we did receive a point and our record stands at 0-1-1.
so for the half dozen dayton fans that realize how the records are kept please inform the others to quite yelling "0-2" that is simply incorrect and shows their ignorance of the game.

BTW – thanks for disrespecting our country last night. I used to think it was pathetic when Toledo fans did it.
I actually didn’t think I could fathom a way for Cincinnati fans to show less class. You guys proved me wrong once again. |
