my dad just just brought up a good point...
Bummer fans, you have your OWN message board, why start all this stupid **** every year (there are only 2 forums i stay away from and thats Hecklers Grove, and any ECHL teams forum besides section 60) lets stop with this stupid **** already |

| exactly! so we didnt win this weekend.... we didnt start winning really until the end of november last year mind you... there are 70 games left... both of those games were great efforts this weekend and one point is one point! |

"also we got screwed out of about 25secs of 5 on 3 PP time in the second period. a dayton player took a delay of game call (which according to the new rules was correct) while dayton already had 2 on the box. that players time does not start until the 1st penalty expires. we scored and the score board showed the 1st dayton penalty at just under a minute, and the second penalty at 1:25. they deleted the 1st penalty and then rather than putting the 2 minutes for delay of game up they ran the 1:25 down to 57secs, then put the 2minutes up. i doubt it would have made a difference but have the score keeper kill 25secs certianly can helpt the pk unit."
Well that is better than having a goal taken away form you in the 1st.

thats it, tough guy, I tried to stand up for you despite your loyalty to the worst team in the ECHL, and a team obviously no NHL team wants to touch for affiliation! Now your still trashtalking and now my gloves have been thrown in the shredder!
#1- Dont forget that there are 70 games left in the season so dont treat any of us like last place douches!
#2- Dayton fans are jealous that youre the only independent team left in affiliated hockey, and yet our affiliations won us THE KELLY FREAKING CUP IN OUR FIRST TRY! How many times did YOU win a final... 0-2, aint it? FACE IT, THE DAYTON BummerS SUCK! Do we rub the Kelly Cup in your faces now that we have it? NO!
#3- It is beyond disrespectful of someone to come to OUR website and disrespect US! We dont go to the Bummers message boards and wreak havoc! The Marshals didnt even do that to the Dayton Warbirds! If you want to talk trash about us than go back to the bummers board and take your Ih8Cyclones thread the hell with you! |

| Gee..and you wonder why I don't travel to Dayton for games. If I had to put up with the BS that is allowed to go on at the Nut House, I'd be locked up. Jericho, you know you don't bother me. You are like listening to a 2 yr old. But then add Ih8 and other pillow biters to the mix...SHUT THE HELL UP!!! You won a freakin game..WOO-FREAKIN-HOO!! You have not won jack crap as far as I'm concerned. Not a series, not a CUP and certainly not my respect. I agree a lil about the anthem thing (but mostly because I don't know what "Howie" means) I too yell at the end of the anthem. I yell Home of the Cyclones. Whoop de doo! Yell what you want as we raise the banner next week. Myself, all of section 60 and the other thousands of fans in attendance will be yelling too. No one will hear you over the cheers. |

lets try this again. objective vs subject:
not making exuses. if you read what i posted you'll see i wrote that im not sure if it the timing error would have made a difference. but the fact is that timing errors are not subjective whereas the when the referee blows his whistle is. the goal/no goal calls could have easily gone either way as those calls where left up to the opinion on the referee and not what the fans think, when the referee loses sight of the puck he blows the whistle. timing rules are concrete and the off ice staff that runs the clock should know them.
i'll even break it down a bit for you....
timing rules are objective, they are what they are and off ice officials should know them and apply them accordingly.
the calls an official makes are subjective, i.e. the referee calls what he sees. players and fans have no control over them.
i understand your frustration in they way suhy called the goal/ no goal calls. the 'clones had several goals waved off last season in elmira and it is very frustrating but it is what it is and you can't complain because you aren't looking through the refs eyes, granted nick suhy rarely has his open. as i stated those 2 calls could have easily been the other way around. goal calls are like strikes in baseball; they are the soul discretion of the umpire. the timing issue would be like the umpire only giving your team 2 outs; the rules state that the team should get 3.
i also made bold the portion of my original statement in which i stated that i doubted if the timing error would have made a difference. if i had been making excuses my statement would have been more along the lines of "gee had we had that extra 30secs of 5 on 3 we surely would have won the game" that would have been an excuse, but that is not what i said. i was merely making the observation that the off ice officials did not operate the clock properly during that segment of the game.
