| To CLONESFANNKY and XCLONEIACX, I plan on being at the game tonight, so if your there I'll swing over and look you folks up. My little one was home sick yesterday though so I'll have to play by ear if I can make it. I wrote your seat numbers down, so I hope to see you tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the replies! |

I found this, this is part of an e-mail someone put on the internet.
Mitch is coming home to find a job, hopefully with the city police, but if not somewhere in the justice dept. He left Cincy because he was't enjoying his time there and feels its time to move on and start his life. As for being mad, out of control, fighting with his coach (No) taking stupid penalties well that comes with that style of hockey, you have to be willing to cross the line sometimes, and as only a true lover of hockey can understand. the rest of you only see an out of control selfish hothead. So if you don' t like or trust what i have to say about this , then go and ask some of the komets that he played with last year. Mitch stays within the guidelines of what his coach tells him, nothing less, its all left on the ice and nobody gets away with trying to hurt any of his teammates. eg. margetti . So remember if your going to slam MY SON get your facts straight. I know my son is a dirty feisty take no [deleted] hockey player, but off the ice he's a good guy with a great sense of humor, and loves to have fun. He is very proud and thankful that he was a Komet and able to help bring a championship to a city that really loves its hockey. Thank you Tim Woods |

| Some of us were not slamming him, just wondering what happened. As you know the ECHL website along with the Cyclones website are not very informative. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| Cincinnati will NEVER be a hockey town like Ft. Wayne. They truely appreciate there team and all of their players. They average 3 times the attendance than the Cyclones. Mitch Woods was loved and wanted in Ft. Wayne.. The coach let him play his style, and was a great asset to the Komets success.. Take a trip to Fort Wayne and see a Komet game and see what a true hockey town is...... |

Been there 3 times, not that great. Sorry Only reason it's a so called hockey town is that there's nothing else to do in Ft Wayne. |

| Dude quit ... unless it was for a good reason (which from what I know, I don't know what the reason was) then it would be okay but if it was for a different reason then he is a quitter.. |

FTW is a great minor league hockey town. One of the top 3 or 4 in the minors.
That does not change the fact that Mitch Woods didn't fit in here and was a liability on the ice.
The jump to the ECHL wasn't for him. He was too small to be an enforcer--he got killed by Bernier twice and Dougherty of Dayton would have wiped the ice with him.
I wish him well. And I hope FTW can join a real league in the near future |

umm, a market with almost 5 times less people that charges $20 for any ticket in the first 12 rows $17-$14 for the upper bowl and $10 for third level seats. Yet they draw an average of 7-8 thousand people a game... yah yer right... not a hockey town at all.
It's funny how people keep saying that there is nothing to do in Fort Wayne. I never seemed to have a problem finding things to do. |

A case of PBR and watching the crops grow does not qualify as something to do. Ok, maybe the case of PBR does. |

OK....a line has been crossed.
I grew up in Ft. Wayne as spent 21 years going to Komets games. Though I consider myself a Cyclones fan now, you CAN NOT compare Cincinnati hockey and Ft. Wayne Hockey. This town is not even close to the same level as Ft. Wayne. Their fans are far more knowledgeable about the game. I dare you to go there are get up out of your seat while the puck is in play. You would be the only one as they appreciate the sport and are incredible HOCKEY fans. I remember the days of watching Ft. Wayne wipe their asses with the Clones.
Those of you opening your mouths without ever going there have no idea what you are talking about. For those that say they have been there(ClonesfanNKY)and they were not impressed - I call you a liar. You would have to be.
I agree that in Ft. Wayne there are no other sporting events for the Komets to compete against. SO WHAT....that does change the fact that it is an incredible hockey town.
I also agree that the talent in the NewIHL is dreadful as I witnessed a game on Thanksgiving night. I believe that speaks even more to the dedication that the town has for the sport. If you were the Franke Bothers (Owners) and are averaging over 8,000 - what would your motivation to pursue joining another league with higherranchise fees????
If you want to see what it looks like when an entire town rallys behind a team (WIN OR LOOSE) go to Ft. Wayne.
